Introduction and Academic Background: -

My name is Nirav Ashokkumar Patel, son of Mr Ashokkumar Somdas Patel and


Mrs.Vinaben Ashokkumar Patel. My father is a Businessman and my mother is a
house-wife. I completed my 10th (Secondary School) in March, 2012 with 66% and
12th (Higher Secondary School) in March, 2014 with 68% from Gujarat Secondary and
Higher Secondary Education Board. After that, I started Bachelor of Business
Administration (BBA) degree from Gujarat University with CGPA 5.09 in April 2017.
During my bachelors, I studied subjects like Management Accounting,
Organizational Behaviour, Productions and Operations Management, Finance,
Marketing Management, Taxation, Economics etc.

Work Experience: -

After completion of my graduation, I joined Bhaskar Poly Plast & Packaging Pvt.
Ltd. as a “Business Development executive” in September, 2017. And I am serving
on the same position till the date. During my work experience I realised that this
field has excellent opportunities and that the Bachelor’s Degree which I had studied
just gave me an overview and the work experience made me realise that an expertise
in the right direction can take me a long way. I was always fascinated by numbers
and my work experience also made me realise that I love doing this, hence I decide
to take up a higher qualification so I could open up my career opportunities.

Why University of South Wales?

The University of South Wales is a home of 33,500 international students from 122
countries. Which is quite impressive. It’s been ranked as the safest city-based
University in the East of England. Plus, it gives wide choices of courses for masters
to the international students. Additionally, The University has numbers of courses
for International Logistics and Supply Chain Management and 96% of students’
satisfaction ratio for the same courses. The courses of the university are accredited
by professional and prestigious bodies. The course content and subjects which I am
going to study in this university is very easily understandable for me. Thus, I chose
to study in University of South Wales.

Why MSc International Logistics and Supply Chain Management?

After understanding the current market trend and analysing the probability for the
professional growth, I soon understand that I have to accentuate my skill to stay
competitive. After my extensive research of various programs, I finally narrowed my
search down to the program MSc International Logistics and Supply Chain
Management. The main reason for my selection is that, it opens the international
boundaries for my career growth. Furthermore, the companies nowadays working in
many nations hence, there are growing need for business and management
graduates with an international perspective, who are capable of operating effectively
in a globalized world. This concerns not only senior managers, but employees at all
levels that have to interact with international customers and suppliers, partners or
international colleagues. By studying International logistics and supply chain
management, I could cover the core areas such as business law, inventory
management, as well as international logistics. I wish to work with highly reputed
companies and manage the international businesses, supervise and ensure the
overall smooth functioning of the company. The program will give me huge
exposure where I can manage huge projects and carry various managerial functions
efficiently which will open up many opportunities for me and give a boost to my
career.

Why I chose UK for my further study?

UK is very popular from the beginning among the international students for the
quality of their education. The education system is practical and easy to digest.
Master’s education from UK is globally accepted and admired as UK is the best place
to learn management. More than 1 lakhs students’ study here each year. Universities
in UK gives globally recognised qualifications, world-class facilities and wide
choices of courses. UK is home to over 5 lakh Indians, which leads Indian students to
find homely atmosphere. This is a place where multicultural people live and share
their values, so international students can get culturally enriching study experience.
UK is an open and cultural society for all. UK people are the best and accepts every
culture. Studying in UK will allow me to work 40 hours per fortnight and I can also
work post 2 years after my masters. UK will allow my spouse to accompany me
along my educational journey, which other countries do not. Weather conditions
here are very good as there is neither extreme heat nor too cold.

Future Goals: -

After my masters I will return back to India, and I will apply on some of the good
online job portals like Monster, Naukri.com, Times Jobs, LinkedIn, etc. for the posts
of Financial Analysts, Chief Financial Officer, Accounting Manager, Credit Manager,
etc. Moreover, I talk about my work experience in UK after finishing my study, I
would be eligible to apply for the best of the financial companies here in India,
where I can expect minimum 5 to 6 lakhs package per annum plus a good
designation and respected job title. I would like to join multinational company
where I can utilise my knowledge and skills which I learn from master course from
UK.
