Draw, full size, the following views of the step-down pulley fully assembled.

(a) A sectional front elevation on the plane XX;

(b) An end elevation when viewed in the direction of arrow A

(c) A plan projected from (a) above looking in the direction of arrow D

Print the title; size of letter to be 8mm

Print in the angle of projection you have used; Size of letter to be 6mm
Print in the scale; Size of letter to be 4mm
No dimensions are required on your drawing
(1) Radii B= 12mm
(2) Radii of fillets= 6mm

10 Marks

Procedure

- Draw a line AB equal to half the perimeter

- From erect a perpendicular and make BC equal to the altitude
- Join AC and bisect it to cut AB in D
- Produce DB so that BE=BD
- CDE is the required triangle

(b) Construct a triangle with perimeter of 170mm and sides in the ratio 7:3:5

Procedure

- Draw the line AB equal in length to the perimeter

- Divide AB into the required ratio (7:3:5)
- With center C and radius CA draw an arc
- With center D and radius DB draw an arc to intersect the first arc in E
