A beam was designed to support a factored load of 195kNm2 with a 300mm x 450mm cross section. Bottom and top reinforcement of 3 bars of 16mm diameter steel was provided. 3. A slab was designed with a minimum required depth of 103mm and a provided depth of 450mm. Steel reinforcement of 12mm bars at 200mm centers was provided in both directions to resist the bending moment of 35kNm
