Profile

Dr. Poonam Chauhan did her whole education from Nursery to PhD from A.M.U. She has
got second position at M.Sc. and M.Ed. level. She was awarded Merit Scholarship at M.Ed.
level and Departmental Scholarship at PhD level. She has started her career from Punjabi
University, Patiala as Part Time Lecturer in Correspondence Department in Dec. 1995. In
1996, she got selected by U.P.HIGHER EDUCATION COMMISSION as lecturer in
Education. Again in 1996 she got selected by A.M.U &joined as lecturer in Women’s
College, A.M.U. In 2004, she joined as Reader in the Department of Education. Presently,
she is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Education teaching from
graduation to PhD Course Work. Her areas of interest are Problems of Indian Education,
Education of Children with Special Needs and Methods of Teaching Physical Science. She
has attended several numbers of courses also. Moreover, she has published papers in leading
Journals of Education.
