Hydraulic Ramp Pivot Previously the catwalk ramp

was erected into the working position by using a
crane. By integrating optional hydraulic cylinders into
the base, the catwalk is able to raise the ramp to the
working position when connected to rig power. This
system is controlled from a safe distance by the radio
remote control.
Standard Ramps The 3000 product line has reduced

the number of ramps needed to cover floor heights by
providing six ramps that cover 18 to 35 feet. With the
new roll bar mount and effective range of 40.5 to 51
degrees, each ramp is able to access a wider range of
floor heights.
Pad Walkertm Kit The Canrig Pad Walker outfits 3000

catwalks with a four pad “stomper” system that allows
the catwalk to move around location without the need
to use a truck or loader.
Wheel Mobility System By adding a wheel mobility

system, the catwalk can be connected either directly to
the rig or maneuvered around the lease with a front end
loader. This reduces third party costs and time involved
in a rig move while pad drilling.
Auxiliary Winch & Light Stand Kit Users of the 3000

catwalk can now take advantage of adding an auxiliary
winch and light stand to the flare end of the catwalk.
Pipe Protection Kit The kit uses the same reinforced

urethane that is used on the drill floor while racking
pipe. It is durable, visible and easy to install on existing
catwalks. The pads protect the surface of high-priced
chrome pipe normally used in sour gas areas.
Electric 1000 A new model of the 1000 workover

catwalk is now able to be powered by the rig electrical
system.

Catwalk
The Automated Power Catwalk from Canrig
is designed to individually index racked drill
collars, drill pipe and casing into a center
carrier where they can be lifted to the drill
floor. It can safely and efficiently raise tubulars
and other equipment such as subs, casing,
logging tools or utility baskets. It eliminates the
need for pickup and lay down services when
running casing. With its remote controlled
capability, the unit can be operated from the
drill floor or from ground level. Models are
available to accommodate any tubular from
pickup subs and survey tools to 24-inch casing,
and for almost every rig size and configuration.

and is extremely robust. It combines innovative
engineering and proven manufacturing
techniques to deliver a product that is designed
for the optimum in personnel safety, virtually
eliminating the need for manual handling
of tubulars.

Benefits
All functions may be operated remotely, which distances personnel from associated hazards. Additionally,
infrared sensing technology can automatically shut down the action using motion control devices to
ensure safety of those working with the Automated Power Catwalk. A dual redundant winch cable eliminates
the possibly of a cable failure, while an alarm system facilitates troubleshooting. Due to the one-man
operation configuration, there is a reduction in labor requirements associated with pickup and lay down
activities. The Automated Power Catwalk is versatile, with models available for the majority of applications.
