The Sign function lets you add notes to the data in board diagrams - 1
this manual. (Ctrl+Space, mouse operation)
Save the file once you have finished adding notes.
Press Ctrl+Space on the keyboard and drag the
[Example using Adobe Reader X] mouse to select the area you want to view.
On the "View" menu, click "Sign".
• The selected area is magnified.
• The Sign pane appears.

1. Drag the mouse to magnify the part you want to print.

2. On the "File" menu, click "Print".

3. Configure the following settings in the Print dialog box.

The following items should be checked for continued protection of the customer and the service technician.

Before returning the set to the customer, be sure to carry out either (1) a leakage current check or (2) a line to chassis
resistance check. If the leakage current exceeds 0.5 milliamps, or if the resistance from chassis to either side of the
power cord is less than 460 kohms, the set is defective.
Be sure to test for leakage current with the AC plug in both polarities, in addition, when the set's power is in each state
(on, off and standby mode), if applicable.

PRECAUTIONS DURING SERVICE
Initializing This Unit
Initialize this unit if you have replaced the microprocessor, one of the parts around the microprocessor, or the digital PCB.

1. Unplug sound bar from wall.


2. Hold down the "Vol – (minus)"."
3. Plug into power again.
4. Standby button light will blink fast for several seconds indicating that the system has been reset.
5. Clears Bluetooth pairing, remote learning, audio mode.

DISASSEMBLY
• Remove each part in the order of the arrows below.
• Reassemble removed parts in the reverse order.
• Read“ SAFETY PRECAUTION” before reassembling removed parts.
• If wire bundles are removed or moved during adjustment or part replacement, reshape the wires after completing
thework. Failure to shape the wires correctly may cause problems such as noise.

(1) Remove the FFC and remove the screws. Then remove the buttons PC.

Proceeding : GRILL → SUB AMP and DWAM83-TB PWB
(1) Remove the grill. Remove the screw, then remove the subwoofer.

(2) Remove the connector wires. Remove the SUB AMP and DWAM83-TB PWB from clip.

Remove the AMP PWB

Insert Jig.

Pull up PWB.

7. SUB VOLUME PWB
Proceeding : SUB REAR PLATE → VOLUME PWB
(1) Remove the screws.

(2) Remove the screws and the volume knob. And remove the connector wire.

8. SMPS PWB
Proceeding : SUB REAR PLATE → SMPS PWB
(1) Remove the connector wires. Remove the PWB form clip.

FIRMWARE UPDATE PROCEDURE
1. MCU firmware updating by USB
1.1. Items to Be Prepared
• Windows PC
• USB cable (A-Mini B)

• Copy ‘D&M Group Soundbar Flash Programmer’ application in your PC.


• Copy the two update files in the same folder on your PC.
• The update files are HEX file and MAP file.

1.2. Firmware update procedure


(1) Leave the soundbar AC unplugged, Hold the Standby Button and plug in the USB on the rear to the PC

(2) Start ‘D&M Group Soundvar Flash Programmer’ application in the PC, and press ‘Connect’ button.

(3) Select the region in region pull-down menu( ‘US/CN/EU’ or ‘ Japan’).

(4) Press ‘Load Hex file’ button. and load the HEX file(update file).

(5) Press “Erase-Program-Verify” button to start the F/W update.


When the update completes, the application shows “Programing completed Verification successful“

(6) Press “Bootloader Ver” button, and verify the MCU F/W version and region.

(7) Press “Disconnect” , and disconnect USB cable.
