    WORKPLACE SIMULATION

    NAME : ABU HUZAIFAH BIN ABU BAKAR (2016544267)


    : MOHAMAD FARIS DANIAL BIN SHARIZAL (2016513501)

    You and your colleague have been asked to work on a project. After two weeks of working
    together, you find out that he/she is unable to manage time well. As a result, you are unable to
    progress. Your colleague apologises for his/her poor time management. Advise him/her and
    discuss ways to meet the project deadline.

    DIALOGUE SCRIPT

    Abu : Hi Faris, how are you doing?

    Faris : Hi Abu. I’m just finish my presentation for my biggest client later this week. How are
    you doing Abu?

    Abu : Okay, I’m already finish mine. I’m just doing it at home.

    Faris : Yes same to me. During this pandemic I think it is better to us doing presentation from
    home and avoid doing activities out to crowded places with our clients.

    Abu : Yeah I’m agreed with you too. Nowadays, in the mid of the Covid-19 pandemic, we saw
    an increasing figure of infected peoples. What a sad things. It make me feel so unsafe to go out
    anywhere.

    Faris : Yup you’re right. The number of Covid-19 cases also uncertain past three month. Today
    the total number of infections since the pandemic began in our country to more than 80K, and the
    number keeps increase.

    Abu : Oh My God, I saw Ministry of Health press conference last evening, they informed that
    there are six new clusters that all involving workplaces have been identified today in several states. I
    hope our front liners stay strong and I hope that we will get to use the vaccine soon. May Allah ease
    everything.

    Faris : Amin.

    Abu : Faris, It's been a week after our boss give us to complete the proposal involving
    collaboration with Maju Jaya Holdings, how the progress on your side? Have you complete it yet?
    Faris : Oh my God! Abu, I’m almost forgetting about that. After our meeting with the boss last
    week, I’ve start work on the proposal but then, another thing come up and I’ve lost my focus. I’m so
    sorry.

    Abu : Would you like to tell me what happened? Maybe I can help you. I saw you’ve lost your
    focus and sometimes I saw you falling asleep at work. I also didn’t receive any update from you since our
    meeting.

    Faris : It’s my bad Abu, these few days I’m too busy taking care of my grandmother which
    causing me forget about our proposal.

    Abu : Okay, I understand. What happened to your grandmother, Faris?

    Faris : I’m so sorry Abu, but my grandmother had slipped in the bathroom when she wanted to
    take a shower.

    Abu : Oh my god! When did it happen?

    Faris : It happened about a week ago when my family and I were not at home to go to work. I
    only find out after my parents call me that she had been taken to the hospital for treatment while I was
    working.

    Abu : Oh, poor your grandmother. How was her condition?

    Faris : She is getting more stable now. We were lucky because she did not suffer any serious
    injuries. She is getting more stable. If there are no problems, he may be released from the ward today.

    Abu : Glad to hear, that, Faris. I hope your grandmother will be release from ward today. But I
    think as employees we need to realize our responsibilities on this project. I think that you should pull out
    your effort this week because there was only three weeks left to complete the proposal for our boss.

    Faris : Oh, really? I am so sorry for not focus on our project. It is my fault, I am very bad in
    managing time. Sorry Abu, when should we have to finish our proposal?

    Abu : I thought you remember our dateline.

    Faris : No, I did not remember it. I feel very guilty now.

    Abu : I guess we suppose done it at least half of the project, but It is okay Faris, we still have
    three weeks left to work on it but you must put full of commitment on this project. If there any problem
    or question, I always here to help and we will finish this together.

    Faris : You are such an incredible guy, how I am very thankful to have you as my partner. Can
    we settle this project within two week?

    Abu : Of course we can.


    Faris : Okay, I will finish start study our proposal this evening.

    Abu : Good, then we can put your focus on this project today, Faris but please don’t delay
    your task that given by our boss again. That will be a bad habit for you and our company reputation. It's
    even worse if our boss knows about this. You have to manage your time well, Faris.

    Faris : I think that you are right, Abu. Thank you for your advice. I have to manage my time
    starting today.

    Abu : Good. Like you, I also have a family to take care of, but still able to finish my part for our
    proposal. I think you have to manage your time well, to be a successful person. I suggest you can make
    a daily schedule to balance your work and family time.

    Faris : You are brilliant!! I will follow your advice and start from today I will make a schedule to
    manage my time.

    Abu : Good, one more thing, if you want to ask anything about our project. You can ask me.
    I’m here to help you. Okay?

    Faris : Thank you, Abu.

    Abu : You’re welcome, Faris.

    Faris : I like your positive mind, friends. I am so thankful to have you.

    Abu : No problem Faris, because that what a friends supposed to do.

    Faris : It was nice talking.

    Abu : Same here.

    Faris : All right, I got to go now, catch up with you later.

    Abu : Okay Faris. Take care.

    Faris : Ok, bye.
