Music Lesson Plan

Title: Dulce Dulce, Teddy Bear Grade Level: K


Source: Nora Thomas Hunter

Materials needed:
Teddy Bear(s)

Procedure:

A.S: Listening: Dulce Dulce


Responding: listening to sing and add movement
Performing: practicing and performing Teddy Bear

1. Ask students to stand in a circle.


2. Students watch and listen for teacher to start Dulce Dulce.
3. Students will clap, shimmy their shoulders and sing when teacher directs it.
- Repeat until all students have joined in and have understood the
rhythm.
4. Sing Dulce Dulce one last time to bring the class attention for the next part.
5. Do what I do: Shows students what movements to do
- Repeat until all students have joined in
6. Start adding words to the movements, so students understand what the
movements are.
7. Add Teddy Bear to the movements and perform.
8. Teacher calls on students to do the movements with the Teddy Bear.
9. After a few times of repeating the words ask students to say them by
themselves.
10. Ask students to say the words and do the movements by themselves with little
assistance.
11. Use Dulce Dulce to get the class attention, and to sit down to be dismissed.

Closure: Raise your hand if you liked Dulce Dulce.


Raise your hand if you liked Teddy Bear.
Raise your hand if you liked both.
Educational Objective: By the end of this lesson, students will have learned how to
add movement and singing for just a part of a song. They will have also learned how to
play Teddy Bear.
