    THE BILL OF RIGHTS OF FILIPINOS


    A. CRITICAL THINKING: answer each question below in the space provided. Explain briefly and
    concisely.

    1. What rights are guaranteed (protected) to you as a Filipino citizen and which are important
    to you?
    Human Rights was guaranteed and was protected by the law to me as a Filipino
    Citizen. All of my rights are important to me and having the right to live, the right to
    education, the right to have freedom of expression are the most important to me.

    2. What responsibilities comes with your rights?


    The responsibilities comes with my rights are respecting ones rights,
    following the laws of the Constitution and protecting my own rights with my own
    life.

    3. At what point does the common good of society limit your rights?
    Good society limit my rights when I have done anything wrong, when I didn’t obey
    the rules and when I did something that can abridged any rights of others.

    4. Do you think you are a responsible citizen? If so, why? If not, why?
    I am a responsible Filipino citizen, because I love my country. I patronized my
    country and its products. I respect and accepts our religion and culture. And I obey the
    rules of our country.

    B. List three possible criteria you would use to describe a responsible citizen.
    Explain one reason why being a responsible citizen is necessary to live in a free society.

    Criteria 1
    A responsible citizen patronized and love his/her own country and its products.
    REASON:
    Patronizing your country and its products shows the love to your country. It shows that
    you are helping your country’s economy to grow for a better quality and standard of living.

    Criteria 2
    A responsible citizen obey the rules of his/her own country.
    REASON:
    Everyone was obliged to obey the rules of their own country. Obeying the rules shows
    respect of your country. We need to obey the rules in order for us to act according to what you
    have been asked or ordered to do by someone in authority, or to behave according to a rule, law,
    or instruction. Obeying the law helps confirm to society that the laws are valid.

    Criteria 3
    A responsible citizen respect the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others.
    REASON:
    By respecting other people's rights, beliefs, and opinions, they are more likely to respect
    yours. You will also be able to avoid trouble. It gives you the opportunity to make your country
    peaceful.
