LESSON 1

- Looking at ones own culture in a more objective way like an outsider.

- Discovering the things that make people more different from one another.

- Producing new theories and knowledge about human home and their behaviors.

- Discovering/finding out what all people have in common.

- Broadening our familiarity on facts about sociology.

1. I learned that Anthropology, Sociology and political Science are important studies for they aim
to understand humanity, our different cultures, behavior, and beliefs and how we connect or
interplay with our government and society.
2. I realized that anthropology, Sociology and political Science may cover different areas of interest
or study but they all revolve around a single subject which is us humans.
3. If given a chance to have an in depth study about one of these branches of science I would
surely choose political science because I am also interested in politics.

Our barangay consist of people with different religious beliefs. But in spite this; the fact that people of
different beliefs is able to interact, socialize and live in peace is something that sociology has to do. We
understand and adjust our actions and the words we speak to not offend others who have different
views or beliefs from us.

In a society with different groups of people residing there is always something in common about
them; it may be their beliefs, culture, behavior, norms, characteristics and more that forms their
bond as a society. However because of this diversity they are most likely to adapt the culture or
behavior of the other leading to cultural change.

Reflection;

1. I learned the importance of artifacts. Artifacts help us know our history our past, our culture and
ancestors.
2. I realized that a society with different people co-existing gives birth to cultural and social change
that is passed on from generation to generation.

will be conflict, judgments, and arguments and there will be no peace, success, teamwork and growth.
