Syllabus Discrete Mathematics

This course syllabus outlines a 3-credit, 3-hour per week course in discrete mathematics offered at Sta. Teresa College. The course introduces important concepts in discrete mathematics including functions and relations, linear programming, matrices, apportionment and voting theory, Boolean algebra, and trees. Over 18 weeks, topics will be covered in blocks of 1-4 weeks each and assessed through end of chapter problems, take-home exams, problem solving assignments, case studies, and a final examination. The course aims to help students develop proofs and apply mathematical concepts and techniques to computer science and applied mathematics problems.
