My favorite teacher is my English teacher. His full name is Susanto but many
students prefer to call him Mr. Santo for he is an English teacher. He is such an inspiring
teacher as he always teaches us patiently and attractively. He is one of the best teachers I have
ever met.
He really understands his students’ need. Mr. Santo often teaches us in some funny
ways. He is so creative in preparing teaching learning activities in the class. His writing is so
good that we always admire it. Every time he notices that his students have been so tired to
study, he loves to tell his inspiring experiences in his life to encourage us.
Mr. Santo is one of my heroes. Heroes are there to help students whenever they need
it. He takes them to a higher level in studying English and lets them experience the powers of
their words in studying. Mr. Santo wants to make all of his students study English easily. That
is why I consider Mr. Santo as one of my favorite teachers.

On February 8th, 2016, I thought this would be a great holiday for me because that
was Chinese New Year holiday. I didn’t celebrate the Chinese New Year as I’m not Chinese
but I guessed that it was a good time for me to get full refreshing. I was so tired to studying.
However, the unpredictable fact broke everything up.
First like an ordinary daughter, I had to get up early morning to help my mother, of
course after I prayed. Then I did the dishes, cleaned up my room, and did my bed. I was really
in danger if my mom knew that my room was messy. So, I made it as soon as possible. After
finishing everything, my aunts called me in the afternoon. I did not meet them for a long time
so we kept for hours to talk about some up to date gossips. Not long after that, my neighbor
who is also my schoolmate visited me. She asked my help to finish her homework. At last, the
time was running and the homework was successfully finished. An unpredictable moment
happened after that. To my surprised, I just remembered that I had a lot of homework too. I
got confused and regretful why I did not check it. As the consequence, I did my homework
until late night and it was hardly finished. Since then, I always check my homework before
having a holiday.
I did not feel this was holiday instead of I had to work hard and got a long ship with
my homework.

Here’s a simple checklist to follow. I’m not saying that following these rules will make your
company the next Google, but it will help.
1. Take the topic of benefits, not features. Your customers don’t care about you. They
want to know “What’s in it for me?”
2. Write your benefit like you talk it. Use regular words. Read aloud what you’ve written.
How does it sound?
3. Lose the weak words. Don’t describe how your company may, might or should help
customers but talk about how your company will.
4. Use a nice rhythm. Some sentences are long and some are short. Mix them up and keep
things interesting.
5. Re-read what you’ve done before publishing. Edit it necessarily. It’s so easy to make
mistakes which you don’t notice the first time through.

Many thousands of years ago, a man and his wife lived in the Philippines, they were
called Angngalo and Angngarab.
One morning, they went to gather some shellfish. Inside one, they found a pearl. It
was an unusual yellow colour and very large. Angngalo gave it to Angngarab. “Oh!” she
said, “I can find many more pearls than you!”
Soon they were quarrelling and shouting at each other. They ran along the seashore
looking for shellfish. Before, they had a big pile in front of them. They pulled open the shells
and looked in them for pearls.
“I’ve gone more pearls than you!” shouted Angngalo.
“No, you haven’t!” answered Angngarab. “Anyway, my pearls are bigger than yours!”
Soon, they were fighting. They threw the shells and pearls at each other. (That is why
there are so many shells and pearls in the Philippines) They rolled on the ground and stamped
their feet.
There was aloud “Boom!” and “Crack!”. The mountains and hills began to split. The
water in the rivers and lakes flooded the land. They still continued fighting. Suddenly, there
was a great storm, with thunder lighting. The land broke into several parts. Luzon was in the
north, the Visayan Islands were in the middle, and Mindanao in the south. Because of this,
there are now over seven thousand islands in the Philippines.

Ray or Rayfish or mostly known as Stingray are carnivorous fish that belong to
superorder of Batoidea. They are the close relatives of the Sharks within the same group of
Cartilaginous fish. There are 26 families of rays in the world with more than 600 species in
total. Most of them live in the ocean and only a few of them live in freshwater, brackish
bays or estuaries.
Rays or sometimes called as batoids have a large and flat body. Their body is
boneless and very elastic. Their skeleton is made of cartilage (a tough and elastic materials).
Each species of Rayfish have a different body shape. Their skeleton is located in the middle
of their body where their head and tail are inline with it. Their eyes are located on top of the
head. They have two large pectoral fins that are fused to the head and are located on each
side of the body. Some of them look like a bird flying with two large wings when they are
swimming. Their dorsal skin also vary among species of Rayfish. Some of them are: black,
brown, pale green with blue spots, dark red with white spots, tiger skin pattern and many
more. The color of their bottom side is white. This is where their mouth is located.
Most of them perform an ambush to catch the prey. They usually find a good place
to hide such as sand, pebbles, coral or algae that look like their skin pattern and then wait
until an animal like squid, fish, snail or shrimp is passing by. At this moment they will

Once upon a time, there was a kind woman who had no children, longed for a
baby and would often say, “How I would love to have a baby girl, even a tiny little
one." A beautiful fairy heard her wish one day, and gave her a little seed to plant in a
flowerpot. When the seed bloomed into a tulip, the woman saw a tiny, beautiful girl
inside, no bigger than her thumb. She decided to call her Thumbelina. She was so
small that she had a walnut shell for a bed and used petals as a blanket. Then, an ugly
toad fell in love with Thumbelina.
One night when she was sleeping, he carried her off to his lily pad in a pond.
Thumbelina was very unhappy. A swallow was passing by and saw how sad she
looked, and said, “Come south with me to warmer lands." Young Thumbelina flew
away on the swallow’s back. They flew across the seas and came to a land of sunshine.
The swallow said, " This is my home. You can live in one of the loveliest and biggest
flowers." When Thumbelina stepped inside, she found a handsome fairy, as tiny as her,
in its heart. He was the son of the king of flowers and he fell in love with Thumbelina.
He asked her to marry him. So Thumbelina became queen of the flowers and the two
