Q.1 An alternating voltage (80 + j60) V is applied to a circuit and the current flowing through it is (– 4
+ j10) A find :
(i) The impedance of the circuit (ii) The power consumed and
(iii) The phase angle.
Sol. Given : Voltage : V  (80  j 60) V, Current : I  ( 4  j10) A

As, V  80  j 60  10036.860 V
and I   4  j10  10.77111.800 A

(iii) The voltage across each impedance

Impedance : Z3  15  j5 , Voltage : V = 200 V, Frequency : f = 50 Hz.
