A pleasant day to each and every one, especially to the distinguished batch of 2021.

I am deeply
honored to have been given this opportunity to present this speech in this remarkable day.

“Life is like a handful of sour patch kids. Right now, things are sour, but eventually they will turn sweet”.

Following a year where the country has been engulfed by the pandemic, we have been
introduced to a lot of challenges and changes that were new and hard for us to cope up with and adjust.
This, however is only a few of the more challenges and changes that is yet to come and being aware that
things will go on and continue to change, it is important that we remind ourselves that the future is still
there and is still coming for us. So, here we are today embracing the most indispensable celebration of
our life. Although it is a bit upsetting and disappointing that we won’t have a traditional graduation
ceremony. We won’t be able to march across the stage to receive our high school diplomas, medals, and
awards together with our parents but sadly, we cannot control the circumstances that we face today.
However, having a virtual ceremony doesn’t really reduce the significance of this remarkable day.

Some of us lost a lot of school activities to experience, we lost our senior sports season. Our
chance to experience and participate in Prom and high school day, our final opportunity to perform and
expose ourselves in academic and non-academic contests, and all of us lost the chance to have all the
fun and closure that we looked forward to come in the last years of our senior year. Losing the whole
year to a virus was not something we had planned, but it’s definitely an experience that will impact our
lives and a memory that we will never forget. After all, we are all made up of memories and experiences.
What makes us who we are today were the things that we’ve been through up to this point and the best
part is, we’re not done yet. We never stop making experiences and memories every day that will shape
us to who we truly are and who we are meant to become.

We started high school as kids, but we are leaving here as adults. We have completed and are
equipped with basic education and skills that will serve as a good pillar of investment and inspiration in
our next endeavors in life. Whether we plan to go to college or straight into the workforce there is no
denying that society will gain something worthwhile. They say that our goals define the kinds of actions
we’re consistently doing since then. But I believe that it’s more of how we do things and how long we
move to reach that goal. We are unique individuals and we are the ones creating the reason for our
existence and the impact we can make. The situation we are living through shows how significant and
valuable everyone is in the society. The world is finally realizing and recognizing the importance of every
job there is today. We are the one defining the kind of road we will be walking through and whatever it
is, I’m sure it will be a fresh and renewed one.

On behalf of the graduates of batch 2021, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the
people behind our success. To our ever-supportive parents who never got tired of helping and providing
us in everything we need, thank you for your understanding, patience and support. It is because of you
that we were able to adapt and adjust with ease in this new environment of learning. Your unconditional
love and support are priceless and immeasurable. We love you and we appreciate your sacrifices. I am
also grateful that we have flexible and hardworking teachers who never stopped imparting their
knowledge unto us even amidst this pandemic, without them we cannot achieve what we have today.
Thank you for your efforts, patience, understanding and considerations. We will miss you and we will
never forget all the memories and lessons we shared and learned from each one of you. To my fellow
graduates, it is such a shame to cut short our days of sharing one classroom together but I am thankful
to have known and meet you all. We really have it hard this year. My message to you guys is that we
should take the challenges of the world positively. Let us all work hand in hand for the betterment of our
society. We will be stepping out from the corners of Alma Mater, so let us show everyone that the
students of BNHS excel. I hope that God’s guidance will be upon us in our everyday life and let us always
seek wisdom from Him. I look forward to hearing about our successes soon my dearest batchmates!
Congratulations to all of us!

Thank you so much! More power and God bless!
