Memory Design

The document contains questions about SRAM and DRAM memory types including: 1) The differences between SRAM and DRAM and their circuitry. 2) Comparing SRAM, DRAM and FLASH in terms of speed, power, mechanism and refresh. 3) Explaining the read and write operations of a 6T SRAM cell. 4) Asking why a sense amplifier is used in SRAM during reading when refresh is not needed like in DRAM.

Question

Which type of memory, among SRAM, DRAM and flash consumes the
maximum power and why?
A1. DRAMs consume the maximum power as they store the data on capacitors,
which lose their charge due to leakage and need to be refreshed regularly.
