1. Do you really need technology in their lives? Is it really a necessity? Explain your answer.
(7 points)
Yes, we really need technology in our lives and yes, it is a necessity. Technology had
given the world the sense of ease and convenience. The method of communication, learning
and thinking is shaped by technology. It contributes to society and defines daily interactions
between people. In today's society, technology plays a significant role. It affects the world
greatly that it has become part of people’s lifestyle and way of living. And if we put our current
situation if the Covid19 pandemic, technology served as the primary medium to keep
everything going. From education, businesses, medical and even economical aspects, all is
dependent on the aid of technology. Technology has developed us into horizons we didn’t
know was possible. In our lives, technology plays an important role in making life to be
prosperous. Surviving without technology in today’s fast-moving world would be very hard and
maybe even impossible to attain.
2. Does technology always lead us to a good life? How and why? (7 points)
Not in all cases unfortunately; technology has its share of risks and benefits that leads to
either a good or bad path. To give substance to the risks and benefits examples will be given, to
start with the benefits; technology has combined tools for development, usage and exchange of
information, is for the simplification of tasks and the resolution of many human issues.
Technology contributes to life-saving; they improve work and improve the world. While the
risks are; people become dependent on technology that they are now being lazy,
environmental disruptions, health related issues caused by the technological materials, increase
of crimes and violence, early exposition of explicit contents to young people. Now that we have
illustrated the examples, we can see that it goes both ways and not all cases that technology
gives a good mark on our lives. The only thing that we can do to be in a good path with it is to
put our use of it into moderation and not let it control us instead us controlling it.
3. How does school science shape science and technology in the country? (6 points)
School science is the stepping stone of all the advancement and innovation of the
present science and technology in our country. School was where it started it all, it is where the
most promising inventors and scientist knew their basic concepts to the most complicated
formulas and concepts of the current science and technology. School Science seeks to improve
understanding and awareness of science and knowledge development, as well as to enhance
scientific literacy. Almost all of the “firsts” of scientists started with school science. This is
where many people in the sectors of current science and technology realized their love and
vocation on science and its development. School science wants to advance understanding of
the natural world in basic contexts. This knowledge is subject to questioning and revision as
new ideas and evidence emerge and might be used in the future for the professional purposes.
4. What is the role of indigenous science in the development of science and technology? (6
points)
Indigenous people are holding tremendous information on the climate and the
biological links inside themselves with a period of individual experience in connection with the
previous ones. Such information can make an additional contribution to current science and to
the management of natural resources. Indigenous science had a huge role in delivering a whole
insight from age to age. To completely grasp a phenomenon, it is extremely helpful and vital to
collaborate modern research with indigenous science. Indigenous scientific views on
interrelation, correspondence and the most extreme respect for nature are extensive and
established. Modern and indigenous approaches to science and technology have their
advantages and can unbelievably be complimentary. Indigenous science has practical
experience in merging customary environmental information with untamed biological
investigations. There are a variety of models that mix the two approaches to science and
technology, and have made spectacular commitments.
5. Did science and technology change your way of life? Was it in a good way, otherwise, or
both? Explain how. (7 points)
It changed my life both ways, but more on the good way actually. If I take my
experiences into consideration, good effects are more prominent. Technology has basically
been like a friend to me, I take it to me everywhere I go and it has helped me a lot in a lot of
aspects of my life, most especially in the trying times of this global pandemic where the
educational setting really had a shift turn. Science and technology have found ways for not only
me, but the rest of the world to continue in a lot of parts of our lives. I am now enjoying the
benefits and the joys of science in technology aiding me in my education that would lead me to
my purpose and success. I cannot even imagine how basic my life would be without the
advancements that science and technology had provided, mor lives are lost and everything
would be very strenuous and hard. I can say that I am living my life to the fullest with the help
of science and technology and I would not have it the other way.
