1. GENERAL
1.1. ATIS

1.2. SPEED RESTRICTIONS


Within Madinah TMA, the speed is limited to MAX 250 KT below 10000' except
with explicit clearance by ATC. For ACFT which cannot maintain MAX 250 KT for
technical reasons or flight quality, a higher speed is possible after ATC
clearance.

1.3. TAXI PROCEDURES


TWYs J2, J3, J4 and J5 are not available for use as rapid exit. Landing on RWY 17
must vacate via TWY J1 or TWY J unless otherwise instructed by ATC Tower.
No ATC visual contact at ACFT Maint Apron (Alpha) and Southwest end of TWY D,
exercise with extreme caution.
TWY L, TWY M and all TWYs between are extension of the East Apron with lim-
ited visibility from the ATC tower. Taxiing from/to the extended East Apron will
be accommodated under Follow-me leader if needed.
No ACFT allowed to leave stand 25 when ACFT entering stand 26 and vice versa.

1.4. PARKING INFORMATION


All stands in East Apron are equipped with Visual Docking Guidance System.
Use of fixed GND PWR (400 HZ) at East Apron is mandatory. All inbound ACFT
shall connect to fixed GND PWR within MAX 5 minutes after docking. All out-
bound ACFT allowed to start Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) 15 minutes before
engine start.
ACFT that will stay at the APT more that 2 hours are subject to be repositioned
to remote parking area.

1.5. OTHER INFORMATION


All ACFT landing within or over flying within the Madinah CTA/Madinah TMA/
Madinah CTR are to contact MADINAH Approach on 125.100 MHZ and 127.700 MHZ
at least 5 minutes before entering the CTA/TMA/CTR and to maintain continuous
listening watch on this frequency whilst within the CTA/TMA/CTR.
RWY 17/35 is primary RWY. RWY 18/36 will be used in bad weather and low visi-
bility or when 17/35 is U/S and under ATC authorization.
Birds in vicinity of APT.
Pilots experiencing windshear are requested to report time and altitude of wind-
shear in their post flight report to ATS unit.

2. ARRIVAL
2.1. SPEED RESTRICTIONS
Pilot should expect to be given the following speed restrictions:
- 220 KT on downwind and base leg until intercepting the LOC;
- 180-200 KT by capturing the GS;
- 160 KT on final approach until 4NM final.
Speed instructions during approach are issued by ATC for safety and efficiency
purposes and are to be flown accurately. Pilots should advice immediately if cir-
cumstances necessitate change of speed for ACFT performance reasons.
If speed restrictions are not necessary ATC will announce clearly: "No speed
restriction".

3.1. START-UP AND PUSH-BACK PROCEDURES
3.1.1. START-UP
Nose in ACFT at East and West Apron may start one engine at IDLE power if APU
is non operative.
3.1.2. PUSH-BACK
All East Apron parking stands are for push-back only.
All ACFT parking at stand 1 thru 8 shall be pushed-back to TWY D using exits
TWY A, B and F.
ACFT parking at stands 9 thru 11 shall be pushed-back to TWY S.
Stands 18 thru 29 push-back required.
ACFT parking on stands 103, 104 and 123 thru 126 shall be pushed-back North.
All ACFT parking at stand 123 thru 126 and 132 thru 135 shall be pushed-back to
TWY M using exits TWY P and N.
