EVENT/ACTIVITY: Virtual In-Service Training 2.0

I. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT:

The Department of Education launched online training program for teachers this
coming SY 2021-2022. The training programs were spearheaded by Information and
Communications Technology Service – EducationTechnology Unit.
The weeklong National Virtual In-Service Training by the DepEd Edtech
commenced on August 30 to September 3, 2021 which can be accessed through
www.training.deped.gov.ph or at (lms.deped.gov.ph.
The following are the topics discussed in Day 5 of the training:

II. IMPACT OF THE EVENT/ACTIVITY:

The last day of Virtual in-service training conveys the use of Deped learning
Management which presents handling technology tools in delivering instruction,
especially during synchronous and asynchronous learning. The training also
manifests varieties of online modality platforms that will help teachers in coping up
digitally during these New Normal times.

The topics discussed make teachers become updated and gain more knowledge
digitally. There was a great variety of tasks and topics of the seminar such as Video
editing techniques, Digital Illustrations, and using Instructional video presentations.

On the other hand, the afternoon session of the training recognizes cyber bullying
issues and concerns which helps teachers and learners to know their rights and in
what possible aspects do the learners may experience bullying.
In this way, the speaker both from the morning and afternoon session discusses it
clearly and effectively.
It was extremely helpful and interesting topic.
