HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT PER CLASS HANDLED:

MODULE 1: ROAD TO THE RIGHT CHOICE


September 14, 2021 (Tuesday)
Grade 11 EIM and Caregiving

The session for Module one of Grade 11 EIM and Caregiving, entitled as “Road
to the Right Choice”, was done last September 14, 2021 at exactly 7am to 9am. For
this session the teacher introduces the content of module 1 to the learners and
assigned them to bring some materials that are needed for the activity. The first topic
in Career Guidance “Road to the right choice” provides information on the curriculum
exits and regulated professions that will facilitate students career decision making as
they pursue college. This session also tackles the different factors affecting learners’
life and career choices considering that deciding for career and life is not an easy task
for Grade 11 learners. As facilitator of this module, the learners identify these factors
and lead them to appreciate how these factors affect their choices of profession.
Lastly, the teacher prepared some activities like the activity entitled as “Reasons
behind my choice”, Reflection and Evaluation. The students will answer these activities
and share their answers in class. The session ended by answering the processing
questions given by the teacher.
MODULE 1: DISCOVERING THE C’S
September 14, 2021 (Tuesday)
Grade 12- ABM A

The Module 2 session was done in September 14, 2021 at around 10am to
12pm via Google meet. The learners are now step closer to achieving life and career
success. From the previous module students were able to identify their curriculum exit,
understand were to start their career, whether from employment, entrepreneurship,
higher education or achieving middle level skills upon graduation will give them a
better chance of success. In this module, the teacher discusses the relationship of
academic achievement to life and career success by means of the “Guess who” game.
First the teacher showed some pictures of the famous faces of a successful people
who are academic achievers, and flashed the clues and allow the learners identify
them. The learner with the highest point will be declared as winner. After the activity
the learners answer the given processing questions pertaining to the activity, how did
they feel about the activity? What is the relevance of good academic standing to career
and life success?
After that it was followed by explaining the five global trends that affects the future of
the global workforce which includes technology, outsourcing, changing workers
attitude and values, demographics and diversity and globalization. The teacher also
discusses the seven c's - 21st Century lifelong skills namely Critical thinking and doing,
creativity, collaboration, cross cultural understanding, communication, computing/ICT
literacy and career self-reliance. After the discussion and lecture, the learners should
already know how to utilized the labor market institution. The teacher gave each
learner a copy of the let’s make it work sheet and fill out the table. The session of the
said module was ended by making hierarchy of "C's", an assessment of one's self will
enable them to reflect on the levels of their lifelong skills. At the end, learners would
have to complete the sentences which would signify their commitment in maintaining,
enhancing and improving their skills.

MODULE 4: MYSELF IN OTHERS SHOES
September 15, 2021 (Wednesday)

The session for Module 4 which entitled as “Myself in others shoes” leads to
the realization of learners that as they go along the way, they will find out that they do
not have to make the decision alone. They have to make them aware that there will
always be people who would help them out.
For its first activity, the students will reflect to the given poem “Chase Dreams”
wherein they will identify the message of the poem, lines which they like the best and
what does the poem want to do with every milestone they achieve.
After this activity, the teacher started the lecturette which focuses to
observational learning and informational observation learning as it will help them to
choose the right pathway for their career and to emphasize that choosing the right
course is a big decision. It’s also important to get it right as it impacts their future
success. Lastly the students are task to make their own career road map as it
manifests their steps to undertake for their growth and career advancement.

MODULE 5: FUTURE COMBO ACTIVATE
SEPTEMBER 16, 2021 (THURSDAY)

The module 5 entitled as “Future Combo Activate” Emphasize the use of


mission statement as it will help learners to sort out their priorities and as how they
contribute to the society.
For this session, the teacher started to show pictures that manifest learners’
reaction and experience as they help others, it is followed by the processing questions
that leads to their experiences in volunteerism, and joining charitable institutions and
organization. After the activity, the teacher proceeds to the lecturette which highlights
the purpose of doing a mission statement that can contribute best not only for the
personal sake of the learners but also for their family, friends, prospective employer,
the community and the world in general.
The session of the said module was ended by formulating learners mission statement
in relation to life and career decisions aligned to their curriculum exits and how life and
career decisions may contribute to national development.

MODULE 7: VERSION OF ME 2.0
September 17, 2021 (FRIDAY)
Grade 12- GAS

Module 7 of Career Guidance entitled “Version of Me 2.0”. Before the actual


session was started the learners assigned to bring some materials that are needed for
the main activity.
The Career Guidance session of Module 7, focuses mainly on the process of
transition of learners from school to different curriculum exits, as they will find out
themselves in the real workplace.
The students were actively participating because they are task to do the main
activity “My hand version of me”, which helps the learners to know more about
themselves and their lifelong career. This activity encourage the eagerness of the
learners to plan and move forward for the achievement of their dreams. After the main
activity, the teacher tackled definition of terms and as well as understanding the duties
and responsibilities of employers and employees.
On the other hand, the last session ended by doing the learners activity entitled as
Version of me 2.0 Progression sheet.
