DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 1

SECOND QUARTER

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:
a. Identify rhyming words in nursery rhymes;
b. Tell how words rhyme in poems;
c. Describe how words rhyme in song.

A. Preparation
1. Prayer
-Kindly stand up for the prayer.
-Angelica please lead the prayer. (One student will lead the prayer)
-I praise and thank you lord for our intelligence.
Give us the grace to use these gifts to learn all the
things we should know. Help us choose what is right
from what is wrong. In everything we do, guide us
so we may always use this intelligence to become a
better person someday. Amen.
2. Greetings
-Thank you. Good Morning Class! (All) Good morning Sir, Good morning classmates.

-Always remember that two or more words that
have the same ending sounds are called Rhyming
Words.
-Now let us look at this rhyming words examples. (The students will repeat after the teacher)

-Rhyming words can be read and listened to in
stories, poems, and songs. They can help the story,
poem, or song sound more fun and interesting.
-Rhyming words can also help you read a story,
poem, or song more easily.
-Now let’s sing a nursery rhyme “Twinkle Little Star” (The students will sing along with the teacher)
