culture in order to understand the causes and consequences of human action and study
the structure and processes of traditional cultures and modern, industrial societies in both
Western and non-Western cultures.

living and working in a globalizing and inter-connected world by exposing you to different

a. Anthropology
-It enhances the communication between people, governments, or businesses and a
different society than those people are used to. The study has the ability to lower the
barrier of peoples' ethnocentric views of the world around them.
b. Sociology
-This helps us to understand the situations of others and allows us to better
understand the reason people are in the situations they are in. Concepts like
oppression, inequality, and intersectionality are realities in society that shape the
lives of many.
c. Political Science
-It explains government and legislative processes so that people can be better
informed about policies that impact their communities, states, and the country.

Direction: Give a certain situation happening in your barangay where you can apply any
of the given perspectives. Explain it with clear descriptions in your notebook.

The leaders of the barangay makes rules and laws which everyone in the barangay follows and they
try to talk with the residents to see if the rules or laws are being followed. This situation can relate
to political science.
