THE LUBRICATION SYSTEM.

WARNING

DO NOT BREATHE OIL VAPORS. WORK IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. DO NOT ALLOW

OIL TO REMAIN IN CONTACT WITH THE SKIN. USE RUBBER GLOVES AND SAFETY
GOGGLES OR A FACE SHIELD. OIL CAN BE POISONOUS.

3. PROCEDURE

A. Preliminary procedures
(1) Remove the bleed valve P2 pipe (Refer to Task 75-29-00-900-803).
(2) Remove the bleed valve (Refer to Task 75-31-00-900-801).

CAUTION: ALL THE ORIFICES OF THE PIPES, ACCESSORIES AND MODULES MUST BE
FITTED WITH BLANKS TO PREVENT CONTAMINATION.

B. Disassembly of the bleed valve equipments

Refer to Figure 201

(1) Unlock and remove the plug (02-010) from the cover (02-180) .
(2) Remove and discard the seal (02-030) .
(3) Extract the spring (02-020) and the filter (02-040) with a threaded rod M3 x 0.50.
(4) Unlock and remove the four screws (02-050) with the four washers (02-060) from the cover
(02-180) .
(5) Remove the cover (02-180) from the bellows assy (02-120) .
(6) Remove the bellows assy (02-120) from the base.
(7) Remove the peel-off shim (02-130) .
(8) Unlock and remove the three screws (02-072) from the protective screen (02-070) .
(9) Remove the protective screen (02-070) .
(10) Unlock and remove the three screws (02-080) with the washers (02-090) .
(11) Unlock and remove the screw (02-100) with the washer (02-110) .

(12) Remove the restrictors from the base.

(13) Separate base from the bleed valve (01-010) .
(14) Remove and discard the set of seals (02-160) .

C. Assembly of the bleed valve equipments

Refer to Figure 201

(1) Remove the plugs and the blanks installed during the removal of the equipments of bleed
valve (01-010) .
(2) Apply approved vaseline grease to the new set of seals (02-160) .
(3) Lubricate the new seal (02-030) with approved engine oil.

(4) Screw the restrictors into the base.

(5) Install the set of seals (02-160) on the base.
(6) Install the base to the bleed valve (01-010) .
(7) Install the three screws (02-080) with the washers (02-090) on the base.
(8) Tighten the three screws (02-080) to torque (1.8 N.m, 15.93 lbf.in).
(9) Lock the three screws (02-080) with stainless steel lockwire, dia 0.5 mm.
(10) Install the screw (02-100) with the washer (02-110) on the base.
(11) Tighten the screw (02-100) to torque (1.8 N.m, 15.93 lbf.in).
(12) Lock the screw (02-100) with stainless steel lockwire, dia 0.5 mm.
(13) Install the peel-off shim (02-130) on the base (Refer to Task 75-31-00-280-802).
(14) Install the set of seals (02-160) on the bellows assy (02-120) .
(15) Install the bellows assy (02-120) on the base.

NOTE: The spherical guide of bellows assy (02-120) must be introduced easily in
borehole.
(16) Install the set of seals (02-160) on the bellows assy (02-120) .
(17) Install the cover (02-180) with the bonding braid on the bellows assy (02-120) .
(18) Install the four screws (02-050) and the four washers (02-060) on the cover (02-180) .
(19) Tighten the four screws (02-050) to torque (1.8 N.m, 15.93 lbf.in).
(20) Lock the four screws (02-050) with stainless steel lockwire, dia 0.5 mm.
(21) Install the protective screen (02-070) on the bleed valve (01-010) .
(22) Install the three screws (02-072) on the protective screen (02-070) .
(23) Tighten the three screws (02-072) to torque (0.65 N.m, 5.75 lbf.in).
(24) Lock the three screws (02-072) with stainless steel lockwire, dia 0.5 mm.
(25) Introduce filter (02-040) with spring (02-020) .
(26) Install plug (02-010) with a new seal (02-030) .
(27) Tighten the plug (02-010) to torque (5 ± 0.5 N.m, 44.25 ± 4.425 lbf.in).
(28) Lock the various attaching elements with stainless steel lockwire, dia 0.5 mm.
