1. Calculate the modulus of liquid elasticity that reduced 0.035 per cent of its volume by applying a
pressure of 5 Bar in a slow process.
2. Calculate Young’s modulus for rubber if a rubber tube 0.4 meter long, whose external and internal
diameters are 0.01 m and 0.004 m respectively, extends 0.0006 m when stretched by a force of 50 N.
3. In an alcohol-in-glass thermometer, the alcohol column has length 12 cm at 0.0°C and length 22cm at
100.0°C. What is the temperature if the column has length 18.70 cm?
4. A thermodynamic system undergoes a process in which its internal energy decreases by 500 J. At the
same time, 220 J of work is done on the system. Find the energy transferred to or from it by heat
5. A gas is compressed at a constant pressure of 0.800 atm from 9.00 L to 3.00 L. In the process, 500 J
