 Identify the two components of Physical Fitness Test.
 Analyze and familiarize the physical fitness test according to its two types: Health Related fitness and
Skill Related fitness.
 Undertake physical activity readiness assessment.

o Physical Fitness – is the body’s ability to
function effectively and efficiently without
undue fatigue in work, leisure activities, to meet
emergency situations and to resist diseases from
sedentary lifestyle.

o Leisure – is the amount of time left after all


daily routine activities are accomplished.

It is an unobligated time where one can enjoy


through activities such as sports, academic games
and other productive hobbies. These activities are
called recreation.

Can you give me example of recreation class?
Yes, that’s right! For example, playing games or
sports, listening to music, dancing, playing brain
games. These are the examples of recreations.

o Emergencies – are unforeseen events where one


has to use his energy to meet unexpected
circumstances.

 Health-Related Fitness Components


- Fitness components that are prescribed to
improve individual’s health.
 Muscular Strength – the ability of the muscle

 Cardiovascular Endurance – the ability of the
lungs, heart, and blood vessel to deliver
adequate amounts of oxygen to the cells to meet
the demands of prolonged physical activity.

 Flexibility – the ability of the muscles and


joints to go through a full range of motion.

 Body Composition – refers to proportion of


lean body mass to fat body mass.

 Muscular Endurance – defined as the


maximum pull or push that can be exerted on
time by a muscle group.
 Skill-Related Fitness Components
- Fitness components important for success in
skills in skillful activities and athletic
events.

 Speed – the ability to perform a task or move

 Agility – the ability of an individual to quickly

 Power – ability to perform one maximum effort


in the shortest possible time. It is the product of
both strength and speed.

 Balance – the ability to stay in equilibrium in


relation to changes in body position.

Static balance – is the kind of balance

Dynamic balance – is demonstrated while to body

 Reaction Time – is the amount of time it takes


to respond to a stimulus.

 Coordination – it the integration of hand and/or


foot movements with the input of the senses.

Application

you have listened to our discussion. You will
identify the type of physical fitness test and its
component.

Health-Related Fitness Components and put it inside
the square if it’s Skill-Related Fitness Components.

 Physical Fitness
It is the body’s ability to function effectively and

activities, to meet emergency situations and to resist
diseases from sedentary lifestyle.
