The Educational Technology class with Dr. Sherman has helped me continue to explore

different technologies in my classroom. Throughout this semester there have been several

different projects to complete for this course. There were many activities throughout this course

that were extremely important and helpful for my career. After reviewing our online website, the

project that stands out the most to me would be the Scaffolding activity. This project held the

most value and importance to me because I could complete it while planning my current lessons,

The resource “Common types of Instructional Scaffolding,” and I gained valuable practice and

feedback. I look forward to using the resources I have created in my classes in the future.

Scaffolding is such an important aspect of creating activities for students that will

heighten their skills. This project was my favorite because I could do my homework and

planning at the same time. To complete this project, I made a scaffold for the activity we were

going to do on the Articles of Confederation. This assignment helped me elevate my activity and

make sure all students could understand and complete the assignment. Another reason this was

my favorite activity is because of the resources you provided us with to complete it. The

resource for this assignment is titled: “Common types of Instructional Scaffolding.” I printed out

the chart and kept it with my lesson planner at work. I have been using it to help me improve my

scaffolds while planning my lessons. I also liked that it gave me technological and in person

versions of scaffolds to help my students. It has been extremely helpful and a welcome resource.

Finally, it was extremely valuable to me because I could practice making my own scaffolds and

get feedback. My undergraduate degree is not in education, so this activity gave me a way to

practice this skill. I was also able to share this with my planning lead and get her feedback as

well. Creating scaffolds is extremely important for helping all students understand an

assignment and has been my favorite project we completed this semester.

Scaffolding assignments is an extremely important skill for all teachers. The project on

creating scaffolds for my class was one of the most valuable activities for me in Educational

Technology. The Scaffolding project enabled me to plan while I completed my homework,

receive a valuable resource, and the opportunity to practice this important skill and receive great

feedback. This activity has already helped me improve my lessons in the few short weeks since

we completed it. While many of the assignments for this class have been extremely beneficial to

my profession, this has been the most valuable project for me. I plan to keep perfecting my craft

and utilizing the resources from projects, like the Scaffolding project, in the future.
