1. PREPARATION BEFORE INSTALLATION:
After confirming the diameter and height of tank this point must be checked before
starting installation of tanks.
2. Ensure raft is larger than the diameter of your tank and is free of all
sharp objects like nails, stones and debris.

2. INSTALLATIONOFTANK:
For the lifting of GI panels, we will be using the chain block System as shown in the
below picture and will be lifting the panels safely as per the photographs below
1. There are 5 rings in the tank. Height of each ring is 1250 mm.
2. Tank will be installed from top to bottom, top ring being the first to get installed.
3. One ring consists of 10 panels of 2.5 m length each which will be bolted
together to form a ring.
4. We are providing Geo Textile for the cushioning Purpose over the raft.
5. Ring 1 will be installed first and with the help of jacks and chain pulley will be
pulled up.
9. Use special kind of adhesives at the outlets and inlets to make the tank leak proof.
11. Outside ladder, Level Indicator installation and water testing will be carried out.

COMMISSIONING:
i. At the completion of the tank assembly process on site, the tank will be
filled with the initial 200mm of water and/or ready the tank for
commissioning prior to departing site.
iii. If the tank can be tested, the tank should be filled to overflow level and
held for 24hours.The tank should hold water to the same level for the 24-
hour period without change to the top water level-allowance or
evaporation is assumed to be minimal.
iv. When the test is completed, the water can be drained from the tank.
v. If water is not available for testing, the initial fill to 200mm must be on
immediately on completion of the assembly of the tank. This must again be
maintained until the tank is ready for placement in to service.
vi. NOTE–The placement of the initial 200mm of water is more critical for the
open top tank than for the roof and tank given the exposure to the high winds
and no protection available from a roof system. Also there is a higher risk of
evaporation with the open top tank and there should be constant monitoring
of the water level to ensure that the water level is maintained at
theoriginal200mm minimum.
