I. Availability of Application Form and Instructions for Filling the Form
Application Form and Information Brochure for the Entrance Test can only be downloaded from the University website www.ccsuniversity.ac.in. Eligible candidates may fill up separate application forms for programmes at P.G. and M.Phil levels. The application form will be filled only on-line from 18.05.2011 to 06.06.2011 till 5:00 PM. (1) Candidate should fill-in the on-line application form. After online submission of application form, Form-Number will be generated on the form itself. Remember the Form-Number/Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY) (for downloading the Admit Card). University, Meerut 250004 (UP) Last date for receipt of duplicate hard copies of the on-line filled application form along with enclosures is 10.06.2011 till 5:00 PM. (2) While Downloading the filled in application form, three copies of the Bank-Challan will be obtained. These Bank-Challans with details of Campus Entrance Test fee, etc. will be used for depositing the entrance fee in any CBS Branch of the banks (Allahabad Bank & State Bank of India). University copy of the Bank-Challan shall be enclosed with the hard copy of the Application form (Printed downloaded copy). No candidature will be valid unless the printed hard copy (downloaded copy) of the application form along with the copy of the Bank-Challan slip indicating the deposit of fee, is submitted at the above address. (4) An application form sent through courier service or presented by hand shall not be accepted in any case. (5) Application Forms incomplete in any respect shall be rejected and will not be considered for admission. (6) Application form is to be filled by the student very carefully as no changes in the on-line information is possible. (7) Candidates having appeared / appearing for the qualifying examination may also apply for admission to a course. But their candidature will remain provisional and be considered only if they satisfy eligibility conditions by June 30, 2011. (8) Only those candidates should submit the application forms who fulfill the required eligibility conditions for the admission, failing which their applications will not be considered. (9) Self attested copies of the certificates, mark-sheets and other documents enclosed with the application form shall be verified from their original documents at the time of admission. Admission to all courses other than M.Phil. and. M.Ed. will be based on merit. III. Admission to M.Phil Courses: The admission to M.Phil Coures will be through Entrance-Test. There would be 100 objective type questions of multiple choices in all. Thirty (30) questions will be based on general knowledge, reasoning and mental aptitude. and the remaining 70 questions will be from (1)
the subject concerned covering the syllabus of the respective disciplines of M.A. / M.Sc. / M.Sc. (Ag.) / M.Ed of Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. The duration of the test will be two hours. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded while for each wrong answer, mark will be deducted. IV. Admission to M.Ed. Course: Admission to M.Ed. course will be through Entrance-Test.The Entrance Test will be conducated vide U.P. G.O. V. Rules Relating to Admission 1. No student shall be admitted in contravention of the admission rules or in excess of the number allowed under rules. The Vice-Chancellor shall have the power to cancel admission made in such contravention. 2. No person who is history-sheeter according to the police records or has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude shall not be given admission in the University and if already admitted, his/her admission shall be cancelled immediately after the facts of the case are known. 3. If it discovered that a candidate has been punished on account of using unfair means in any examination or has been expelled from any educational institute, he/she shall not be admitted. The University has the right to cancel, at any stage, the admission of a candidate if it is discovered that he/she was not entitled to admission in accordance with the prevalent rules and regulations. Admission, at any stage, may also be cancelled if deemed fit in the interest of the University. 4. Payment of any dues shall not establish a claim of student to admission or re-admission. 5. A student shall not be admitted/re-admitted to any Department of the University if his/her conduct in the previous academic sessions has been unsatisfactory, or if it is discovered that he/she is suffering from a disease of a nature which may be detrimental to the health of other students of the University Campus. 6. A candidate who possesses any post graduate degree shall not be given regular admission for another post-graduate degree course, provided facilities to appear as a private candidate for that post-graduate degree exist. 7. In case a student seeks admission for a second post-graduate degree in a subject where facility to appear as private candidate is not available, his/her admission may be allowed if he/she has studied that subject at the undergraduate level. 8. No candidate shall be allowed admission to a post-graduate degree in a subject in which practical examination is a part of curriculum, unless the candidate has passed the qualifying examination with the subject. 9. The use of unfair means by candidate, detected at any stage, would lead to cancellation of his/her admission. It would also debar him/her from appearing in the admission test in future. 10. Admission of foreign students, if selected, would be subject to a clearance from the Department of Education, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. 11. Fee once deposited is not refundable under any circumstances. 12. The University reserves the right to drop any admission to any course without giving any reason. 13. For all purposes decision of the Admission Committee with the approval of Vice-Chancellor shall be final. 14. A candidate having passed his/her qualifying examination as private candidate shall furnish a certificate of good conduct from the Principal of the College or Gazetted Officer or an M.L.A. / M.P. In case of Candidates of University departments of the Ch. Charan Singh University, the Admission Committee shall see that there is nothing against the candidate, which may debar him/her from seeking admission in the case, he/she has been selected for Admission. 15. The Entrance test will be conducted only for those Subjects in which the number of applications is more than double of the allotted seats. 16. Final merit list will be declared by the respective departments after calculating weightage as per university rules. 17. No fresh admission shall be made in the second semester of any programme of study. 18. Inter-subject transfers will not be allowed at any stage of admission process Note-1: If an applicant is provisionally allowed to appear in the test, his/her score of the entrance test will be considered for preparation of merit list only if he/she is subsequently found eligible based on his/her academic record. Note-2:- The above information is only for general guidance and should not be treated as legal document. It could be changed/ modified from time to time by the Academic Bodies / Admission Committee / Authorities of the C.C.S. University, Meerut. It is to be noted that ignorance of any rule cannot be treated as an excuse for its breach.
Reservation of Seats
21%, 2% and 27% seats in all courses are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC categories, respectively. However, reservation of 3%, 2% and 1% will be permissible to candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped (PH), Dependent of Freedom Fighter and Ex-serviceman categories within each one of the SC/ST/ OBC and general category. Reservation shall be given as per the prevailing government rules at the time of admission and are subject to modification by competent authority. Applicants claiming reservation in above categories shall enclose self attested copies of supporting certificate/s in the given prescribed proforma along with the application. Note: Physically handicapped candidates shall enclose a self attested copy of the certificate issued by Chief Medical Officer of the district along with the application. In case a candidate does not claim reservation in the application form, he/she will be treated in general category and no change would be permitted after submitting the application form. In case the requisite number of eligible candidates of reserved categories is not available, the vacant seats may be filled by general category candidates. (5)
