APPLICATION
After learning how to measure and calculate self-assessment tools, make a table and record the
following: (Use your body measurements)

1. BMI
• Compute your Body Mass Index using the formula Weight/(height)2
• After getting your Body Mass Index (BMI), determine your weight classification.

BMI= weight (kg)/height (m)²

BMI=43kg/ (1.50m) ²
=43kg/2.25m²
BMI=19.11

2. Maximum Resting Heart Rate

Age Resting Heart Rate Maximum Heart Target Heart
(1 min) Rate (bpm) Rates
60 % 80 %
18 67 bpm 201 bpm 120.4 159.7

3. Waist to Hip Ratio and classification

-WHR = Waist circumference/ Hip Circumference

WHR = 30cm/ 33cm
WHR = 0.90cm
Classification: Higher

4. Body Fat Percentage and classification

BFP = (1.20 x BMI) + (0.23 x age) – 5.24
= (1.20 x 19.11) + (0.23 x 18) – 5.24
= (22.93) + (4.14) – 5.24
= 27.07 – 5.24
BFP = 21.83
Classification: Normal
