The machine with protecting ability of electric shock danger belongs to the general
equipment of type B of class Ⅰ.
The working system keeps the continue connection with power supply under the
condition of stand-by and according to the stipulation of loading.
Our factory will be responsible for safety and reliability of machine under the following
conditions:
1. The persons going in for installation, adjustment, shakedown test and service should
be approved by our factory;
2. The electrical facility and environment of the room for the machine should accord
with the demands of the instruction book.
The machine is used according to the demands to the instruction book. Operation
condition:
1. mbient temperature: 10℃~40℃
2. relative humidity: 30%~75%
3. atmospheric pressure: 70kPa~106kPa
Transport and Storage
1. ambient temperature: -20℃~+70℃
2. relative humidity: ≤85%
3. atmospheric pressure: 50kPa~106kPa
Attention
1
To prevent danger from occurring and ensure the machine to be used safely, operator
should pay attention to the following items for attention:
1、Read the following items for attention carefully and operate the machine rightly.
2、Before operation, users should comprehend the operation instruction of the machine.
3 、 The setup and storage place of the machine should be paid attention the following
items:
Mustn’t operate and deposit machine in easy dampening place.
——Mustn’t operate and deposit machine under the circumstance of which pressure,
temperature and humidity exceed permission extent.
——Keep good ventilation circumstance, avoid sunlight straight exposure, and prevent air
with dust and salt from erosion.
——Mustn’t operate and deposit machine in the place with chemistry drug and flammable
gas.
4、Before operation, users should pay attention to the following items for attention:
——Must affirm the connecting wire condition of the machine and check whether the
machine run normally.
——Must affirm a good grounding of machine. The conductor alternated between yellow
and green is a protecting grounding wire. Symbol “ ” is a mark of protecting earth

machine and should communicate the personnel in the specific field.
6、Mustn’t reconstruct the machine and its parts and components

——Should check the machine and its parts and components according to schedule.
——When the machine which stays no use for long time need be used again, must affirm
if the machine operates normally and safely.
8 、 Protecting grounding wire of the machine should connect with special protecting
grounding device, mustn’t replace it with neutral wire.

3、The machine constitution
the machine contain the following main parts:

d) High-voltage cable
e) Diagnostic table
Characteristics
1、The power supply voltage V and kV are infinitely variable control.
2 、 The machine is equipped with mA, kV and s interlocking protecting device of
subsections and grades.
3、The machine is equipped with the protection device of X-ray Filament manostat, space
charge compensation and anode start.
4、Power supply voltage, Radiographic kV and mA display separately and are observed easy.
5、The machine with no top and bottom track is installed and operated easy.
6、 Transverse moving of upright post, lengthways moving of arm and rotation of X-ray
tube unit are all equipped with electromagnetism braking device.
7、 Diagnostic bed, which is equipped with electromagnetism braking device, can move
not only transversely but also lengthwise.
Safety
1 、 The electrical connections of the machine are all of permanent connection and the whole metal
shells all grounding protectively. The grounding resistance isn’t more than 4Ω.

The machine must be connected with grounding reliably and check that ground
should be kept under the good condition at any moment. Once finding the shells with
electricity, must stop operation and cut off power supply. After removing the electric
DANGER leakage failure and affirming the ground device kept under good condition, users can
use the machine.
2 、 The machine is installed the safe brake on the branch arm of X-ray tube unit, which can start
quickly once the drive rope is broken and can prevent the unit to slip down.
The users must often check this function. If you find it break, bad wear or tarnishing,
must replace it with the same the steel rope code at once.
DANGER The steel rope code: ф4 aviation steel rope. Safe coefficient should be more
than 8~10.
3、Users should set up a lead folding screen or lead room and the wall around the room should be
treated with protective measures which accord with sanitation protection demand of X-ray.

High-voltage cable, plug and socket
X-ray tube unit is connected with high-voltage generator by two high-voltage cables. Plug and socket
for high-voltage cables is suitable for prescription of GB5579-1985. Connection diagram: see figure 11
in which F0 is public, F1 is big focal spot and F2 is small focal spot.

Working principle and block diagram
After console power on, all pre-setting signals on it are sent into corresponding control circuit
separately. High-voltage generated is sent into X-ray unit by high-voltage cable after high-transform unit
acquires power, filament heating circuit make X-ray tube filament be bright and electron is emitted under
action of high-voltage, and X-ray is generated because of X-ray tube unit anode impacted by high-speed
moving electron. See Working block diagram 15

General radiographic control circuit:

NE555 time-base circuit is adopted in timer and time can be adjusted by charge and discharge of R
and C, in which C is a constant and different time can be acquired by changing the value of R. Timing time

sections can be divided into 20 grades according to R10 series. R5~R23 are charge resistance and K103 is
timing relay.
IC103 circuit is timing unit and its working principle explains as follow:
When pressing down hand switch to the position of the second grade, which K601 close when rotation
anode works normally, timing circuit acquire power. Meanwhile IC103-2 is at low-level and IC103-3
output high-level. Timing relay K103 works and starts to time. When the voltage of capacitance C106
reaches the power supply voltage of 2/3, IC103 interior circuit overturn, IC103-3 output low-level, and
relay K103 stops working and timing ends. Adjustment RP101 can adjust timing accuracy.
Capacity protection circuit is used as a safety measure in circuit during operator selecting the
irradiation condition when X-ray tube capacity exceeds rated capacity. The product adopt adjustment
system with free arrange of mA, kV and s. This circuit belongs to one-off pre-setting protection circuit,
which is effective for use of a rated specification.
+12V as working power in circuit is from radiographic timing circuit. The power supply voltage is
divided through resistances R304 and R307 and apply to resistance R307 as norm voltage
The voltage from space sampling transformer T5 secondary coil, (which the change of the voltage
from T5 secondary coil can shows the change of kV because voltage of T5 secondary coil connects in
parallel with high-voltage primary output voltage), shows the relationship during three parameter which are
kV, mA and s as signal voltage through mA adjustment switch S2 and time selecting switch S3. signal
voltage rectificated through U301 and filtered through C303 is compared with norm voltage, which IC301
is used as a comparator. When radiographic condition is within allowable using range, signal voltage is
lower than norm voltage, IC301-6 is at low-level, V304 load stops, protection relay K306 doesn’t work and
radiographic can be carried through. When radiographic condition exceeds allowable range, signal voltage
is higher than norm voltage, IC301-6 output high-level, V304 is on, protection relay K301 works and high-
voltage primary control loop is cut-off, which obtains the protection purpose.
Rotation anode starting circuit: refer to circuit principle diagram WF300—D05
In radiographic, K101 works, radiographic preparative relay works, K2-5(6)contact closes, rotation
anode acquires power and anode starts to rotate when the first grade hand switch being pressed down.
When radiographic timing reaching, loose hand switch, K2 loses power and anode stop rotating.
Rotation anode starting protection circuit: refer to circuit principle diagram WF300—
D05
The 15’V AC voltage from autotransformer T0 is rectificated, filtered and steadied through U601,
C606, C605 and IC602 as working power which is steadied again as norm voltage. M601 is a starting
current instrument transformer. M602 is starting voltage instrument transformer whose primary is
connected in corresponding anode starting circuit .M603 is filament voltage instrument transformer whose
primary is connected in corresponding anode filament circuit. Under the normal condition, the primary of
M601,M603 and M602 pass rated current and the induction current of instrument transformer subsidiary is
larger. After rectificating and filtering, higher voltage is applied to two terminals of R601 ,R602and R603,
which makes V602,V604 and V606 cut-off and charge to C604 through R604 and RP601. When voltage on
C604 exceeds norm voltage, IC601-6 output high-level,V610 opens, drives relay K601 to work and provide
a working loop for the second grade of hand switch SB4. When charge time is about 1.2 seconds, namely
X-ray tube filament increasing temperature and rotation anode turning reach steady value in 1.2 seconds.
Radiographic can be carried through.
If X-ray tube anode doesn’t start turning normally, V602,V604 and V606 can’t be cut-off, C604 is
shunted by R601,R602 and R603. At the same time, the voltage applied to C604 is less than norm voltage,

IC601-6 is at low-level, K601 doesn’t work which appears pre-setting protective effect.
The machine is packed with one box. Open the packing boxes, check the amount of parts and
components according to packing list and rub-up the rust preventive oil and dust on the surface of
components. If finding some problems and being doubt, please communicate the producer and ask them to
give assistance treatment
Only after table face being adjusted to the level and fixed, upright post can be
installed, which must is vertical to table face.
Attention
Install clamping support of X-ray tube unit and X-ray tube unit with fours screws of M8X25.
Fix control box on X-ray tube unit with two screws of M5X20.
Insert the interface of collimator into the interface of X-ray tube unit, hang up collimator with the clip
plates on the interface of collimator which are placed one piece separately on the left and right, and fix it
well with the screws on the clip plate. Here, collimator should rotate and not swing. When turning right
side of collimator to position which is parallel to X-ray tube unit, fix it well with screws.

The special switch on the wall with specification 380V/100A should be installed around console
2、Grounding wire installation
To ensure grounding safe, should use a piece of copper with area being no less than 0.5m×0.5m and
thickness no less than 1mm as grounding material which is welded firmly with copper wires of overall
cross section area being no less than 4mm2, and then grounding material is buried into wet soil whose depth

isn’t less than 1.5m. Before grounding material buried, some charcoal and salt are placed around it to
reduce the resistance ratio of soil and make it keep good connection with earth.
Gas pipe or other gas pipe with explosion danger and flammable gas mustn’t be
used for grounding device because the sparkle produced would induce explosion and
WARNING burning. Because central heating pipe is of grounding badness, it mustn’t be used for
grounding device.
3、Electrical apparatus installation
Open the rear cover of console and connect the following wire according to demand.
(1)Connecting wire from console to high-voltage generator
There are two linking wires with down-lead slices on two ends between control desk and high-voltage
generator. When wiring, must aim at number carefully and link down-lead slices firmly. Corresponding
connecting number from console to high-voltage generator and function are shown as follow:

(5)Connecting wire for braking coil of upright post branch arm
There are three connecting wires for braking coil of upright post branch arm. When linking wires,
open the rear cover of control box and connect according to number.
(6)Connecting wire from to radiographic table collimator
Connect one end of the console to the number and plug the other end into the socket of the beam
limiter.The corresponding numbers and functions of the console and the beam limiter are as follows:

(7)High-voltage cable installation
The machine is equipped with the same two high-voltage cable with length of 6m.when installing, pay
attention to the positive “+” and the negative “-” pole which should be consistent. Before mounting
high-voltage cable, should clean and wash the high-voltage plug at cable and socket of high-voltage
generator and X-ray tube unit with clean gauze, and then do it again with clean gauze dipping in absolute
ethyl alcohol. Don’t remain of fibre remain on these. Then apply a clean dewatering and deacidification
Vaseline on the surface of plug, insert it into the corresponding receptacle of high-voltage generator and X-
ray tube unit separately according to the position of fixing pin and finally turn tightly screw.
After finishing installation of high-voltage cable, put high-voltage cable on the hanger which is fixed
above high-voltage generator, draw straight high-voltage cable and keep high-voltage cable vertical to
high-voltage generator.
(8)Connection for protective grounding wire
The machine is equipped with three protective grounding wires which alternate with yellow and green.
Three protective grounding wires are connected with terminals of every component marked with protective
grounding.

When being supplied for power with 380V, the connecting wire diagram is shown in figure 18, in
which one end on terminal block XT1 of console is short between XT1-4 and XT1-5

In diagram, the circuit is open between XT1-6 and XT1-7, which is set when machine leaving factory.
The other terminal of power supply wire is connected with switch on the wall according to corresponding
relationship.

Keep under the condition of short circuit between XT1-6 and XT1-7 with short wire and open circuit
between XT1-4 and XT1-5. Only connect two terminals of XT1-1 and XT1-2 with one end of power wire
on console and disconnect with terminal XT1-3 which is bundled up with adhesive plaster to prevent
electric leakage..
The other terminal of power supply wire is connected with switch on the wall according to
corresponding relationship.

The terminal L2 in power supply wires disconnect, which bundled up with adhesive plaster.
Meanwhile, remove the short wire between point 1 and point 2 on terminal block WF150-4a in console and

then short between point 2 and point 3 on the plate W F150-4a with short wire.
When using different power, must change the corresponding site of short wire on
Attention the plate WF150-4a.
Before the machine leaving factory, strict shakedown test and checking have been
done. Because of the effects of the condition of power, vibrating during transport and
Attention wet etc, adjustment and test supplied for power must be done after the machine being
finished.
Machine adjustment
Before machine not being supplied for power, should check if surface of table, upright post and filter
X-ray move with facility. If there are some problems, should adjust corresponding components.
After finishing installation of X-ray tube, screen and Collimator on branch arm, check if they keeps
balance within the range of allowable motion. If there is imbalance phenomena, adjust the adjustable spring
screw on the basement whose pull increases when turning clockwise and decrease when anticlockwise.
(reference direction is from basement to up)
Set technical selecting knob to the position of general radiographic, radiographic mA adjustment knob
to the position of grades separately and radiographic time adjustment knob to the position of 1.0 second.
When pressing down the first grade of hand switch, can hear the rotating voice of rotation anode and
filament brightness of X-ray tube increases gradually. Preparative indicating light will be bright about in
1.2 seconds. When pressing down the second grade of hand switch at the same time, exposure indicating

light will be bright, buzzer will ring, rotation anode will continue rotate and filament brightness will be
constant. when reaching time set, exposure indicating light will go out and buzzer will stop ringing. Here,
loose the hand switch is constant.
In above testing, with user’s observing from the window of X-ray tube, small filament is bright when
the radiographic mA adjustment knob being set to the position of “ 50”, “ 100” and big filament
is bright to the others.
Note If finding the bright state of X-ray tube filament doesn’t accord with demand, must
remove the failure and test again.

If the results checked up appear much deviation, check voltage value of kV compensation resistance
R2 on the console. See Schedule 4 which are given voltage value before machine leaving factory.
When measuring, link a pen of AC voltmeter with XT2-0V and the other separately with every
terminal of resistance R2 which are R2-2, R2-3, R3-4 and R2-5.
Before checking up above, must affirm that power supply voltage accords with
Attention
demand.
After finishing test, cut off power, remove the short wire connected with terminal between P1 and P2
on high-voltage generator before test and link connecting wire for high-voltage with terminal between P1
and P2 on high-voltage generator.
Before linking wire of P1 and P2, must cut off supply power for machine,
Warning disconnect the power of switch on the wall and remove short wire of P1 and P2 on
high-voltage generator.
Warning
X-ray can be produced during the following test and pay attention to protection.
Load test
1、Supply power for the switch on the wall: close the switch on the wall and supply indicating light is
bright.
2、Supplying power for machine: press the supply “on-off” button, display voltage on voltmeter, turn
power supply adjustment knob to keep hand of voltmeter at the position of 220V.

3、Exposure test
Select general radiographic position and the radiographic condition with 50mA . 50kV and 0.1s of
which expose once. If no abnormity, select radiographic condition with 50mA . 50kV and 0.8s of which
expose once more. Meanwhile, observe if shown value on the mA meter is about 50mA, and if being more
than 50mA, cut off power and adjust the clip with the No “50” on resistance in console until the value is
50mA.
4、X-ray tube training
The machine just installed and not be use for a long time must be trained before operation to increase
the vacuum of x-ray tube and extend use life.
X-ray tube training method as follow:
Select radiographic condition with 50mA and 0.1s and from 50kV to 125kV, start as a grade with 5kV
in which expose twice and every interval is about within 1.5~3.0min. During whole training course,
observe mA meter and voltmeter which are shouldn’t be abnormal, and there is not abnormal sound in
high-voltage generator, X-ray tube unit and console.
Must close the Collimator lead door during the course of training and adjusting
Attention mA.
5、Radiographic mA adjustment
Under the condition of normal radiographic, select radiographic kV is 65kV and radiographic time is
1s .carry through exposing separately at grade position of 50mA, 100mA,200mA and 300mA.
Meanwhile, the error between nominal value and the shown value of mA at above every position
doesn’t exceed ±10%。. If the error is too much, adjust separately the position of resistance R3 with
clips code of “50”, “100”, “150”and “200” until the shown value on mA meter accords with demand

loading during ten times loading, reset to the set value over again
Accuracy test
Loading factor accuracy test implements the content of GB9706.3-2000 “Medical Electrical
Equipment The Second Part: Medical Electrical Equipment Special Safe Requirement to High-voltage
Generator of Diagnosing X-ray Generating Device”.
In accuracy test for loading factor, combination of loading factor accords with the demand in table 7

which the radiographic part of sufferer is suitable. Loose the braking switch of tabletop to lock it.
3、Turn on power of control box and move X-ray tube unit; start up light source of collimator and

of lengthways and transverse motion and rotation in control box and lock X-ray tube unit. According to the
size of the radiographic part, open the lead-door and adjust the suitable exposure field.
4、First, press the first grade of hand switch, and then press down the second grade when preparative
indicating light is bright. Exposure starts, exposure indicating light is bright, buzzer rings and
corresponding mA value is shown on the mA meter. After exposure being finished, exposure indicating
light goes out and buzzer stops ringing. When hand switch being loosened, the mA shown value is at zero
position.
Completed the photograph, should cut off the power of photograph table and control
box , lest the electromagnetic locks is burn because of electromagnet electrified for a
Attention long time.
Filter radiographic
Filter is connected with upright post and select the position of filter radiographic. Rest operation is the
same as general radiographic

Turn X-ray tube unit to aim filter at sternum frame.The rest operation is the same as general
radiographic
Turning off machine: completed radiographic, press “Turning off” switch and cut off power.
Attention While machine is not used temporarily, should place X-ray tube unit to tiptop
position.
During the course of using machine, users not only should understand the technical performance,
structure principle and operation method but also be good at checking and maintenance of machine to bring
into play its function, prolong its service life and ensure person and machine to be safe. Therefor, users are
advised to pay attention to the following items:
1、Should keep the machine room ventilated, dry and clean and avoid wetness, high temperature and
sunshine directly.
2、Should open frontal and rear cover of console to remove dust and carry through examining and
repairing its components for a certain time, which can be done according to concrete condition such as half
a year or a year. Check main parts which are all of switch, contactor contact, autotransformer slipway and
carbonic wheel, observe if they exist electrical erosion and uncleaness and tighten them at any time.
3、Autotransformer maintenance:
After machine being used for a certain time when is about 2~3 months , autotransformer in console

must be carried through maintenance. The following are maintenance methods:
Open covers of console, clean black accumulative carbon on the carbonic wheel with brusher. If don’t
erase up the black spot, clear it with 600# water sand paper firstly, then brusher, finally, clean cloth. Pay
attention to treatment of two slideway with the same as above way. At the same time, check if screws loose,
must be fixed tightly if it loosening.
4、Understand some circumstances about supply power, check if the inner resistance or supply power
voltage change and ensure power to accord with demand to machine.
5、When transformer oil of high-voltage generator and X-ray tube unit need to supplement, should
acquire assist of local factory of X-ray or electric power department.
When the machine is installed in high temperature area, use 25 # transformer oil and use 25 #
transformer oil in other area. Insulation strength of transformer oil isn’t less than 35kV/2.5mm
When oiling for X-ray tube unit, should acquire assist of local factory of X-ray
relational department. Users mustn’t deal with it by oneself.
ATTENTION
6、Dewatering no acid Vaseline, which is used to insert the socket of X-ray tube unit and high-voltage
cable, should be replaced within given period.
7、The worn-out transformer oil should be treated according to prescription of local environmental
protection department.
8、Often check if all motion components work normally and add lubricating oil to them within given
period.
9、Pay special attention to wear wire rope and check within given period. If finding it broken section,
bad wear and tarnishing, replace it with the same specification whose code is aviation steel rope ofф4
10、Cleanout and disinfection of tabletop
The tabletop, which is a part connected with sufferer, should be often carried through cleaning and
disinfecting. The method is below
1) Clean it with clean cloth dipping in water.
2) Clean and disinfect it with benzolkonium bromide solution whose concentration is 1‰ or general
disinfection solution.
3) After finishing 1 and 2 steps, clean it up with dry towel.
11 、 Replacing fuse: find the defective fuse and replace it with fuse of corresponding model and
specification according to table 8
When carrying through maintenance, cleanout and disinfection, must cut off
WARNING power.
12、When high-voltage primary Ac contactor K1 being defective and need being replaced, during the
course of replacing, must take off spacer on the bottom of K1-3(4) and K1-1(2) which are contact of

defective contactor and install them on the bottom of corresponding contact of replaced contactor besides
replacing the same code Ac contactor.
Must remember when high-voltage primary Ac contactor being defective and need
being replaced, must replace spacer on the bottom of corresponding contact.
Warning
1、Before every radiographic, must adjust the power supply voltage which are adjusted through the
knob until the voltage value of 220V is shown on the voltmeter on console.
2、During exposure with high-voltage, screwing all knobs on the desk is strictly prohibited.
3 、 Between two radiographic, enough intermittent time which isn’t less than 2 ~ 3min should be
ensured.
4、In high temperature season or during the course of continuous radiographic, when the outer shell of
X-ray tube unit is very hot, which exceeds 60℃ approximately, should stop using. After cooling, can
continue to use.
5、The timer of collimator light source only rotates according the direction of arrowhead, and strictly
be prohibited from reversing.
In emergency, must press down the urgent stop switch and cut off the power of
Warning switch on the wall.
When pressing down urgent stop switch, turn lightly knob according to the
arrowhead direction on it make the switch be up after removing the fault and machine
Attention can be supplied for power.
