Eclipse pour Sage X3

Installation, configuration and documentation.

The first step is to install the eclipse IDE via the official website address,

https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

Recommendation:
“The recommended version of
Eclipse is 2019-03 and the minimum
supported version is Luna SR2.”.

And then install ...

The easiest way is to go to Eclipse, Help > Install New Software > Install >

The "Available Software" screen will display...

Click Add to create a new update site.

The "Add Repository" screen will display...

Tap “Safe X3 Studio Update Site” In the Name Field,

And “http://pluginx3.sage.fr/safex3/studio/update/” In the Location Field

The “OK” Message will


appear and the “Add”
button will be activated.

Then press “Add”

The "Available software" screen will display...

Tick « Safe X3 Studio for Eclipse” And
« Safe X3 Studio for Eclipse
Localization”, then Next> to begin the
next step of the install process.

If you accept the terms of the license agreement,
click Finish to continue the installation process.

Tick « Sage France…”, then Accept selected.

The restart when it is asked.

Creation of a new Sage X3 project
1- Creation of a blank .src file

Set a project name.
Then Next> Next>

Then fill the connection details,

Once you put the Server name and press Tab, you
will get the datasets that he contains.

Warning: For version 7 or higher use the form http: //hostname:port ’, for previous versions use
‘hostname:port’.

Select the language.

Select the tab Password, set your Sage Password,
Press OK then Finish.

Now that the X3 project and connection are set up, we can create a source file.

Right click on the new
created project, New> X3
File.

Name the new file.

2- injetion of an old .src file to the project

select the file.

Go to File> Open Safe X3 Source File…

The "Open Safe X3 Source File" screen will


display...

Choose the source file.


The chosen one will figure in tree
structure:
