III-PLANNED ACTIVITIES:
A. PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES:
1. DRILL –Show the students a pie graph of the percentage of the television viewers of
top 3 network channels. Teacher will ask questions regarding the pie graph.

What channel has the most number of viewers? ABS-CBN has the most number of viewers.
What channel has the least number of viewers? TV 5 has the least number of viewers.
How much percentage of viewers does TV 5 has? TV 5 has 25% television viewers.
How about GMA? GMA 7 has 30% television viewers.
ABS-CBN? ABS-CBN has 45% television viewers.

1. MOTIVATION
– Have the pupils sing a song. The title of the song is “I can sing a Rainbow”.

Look at the graph. What is it about? It’s about colors.
What is the title of the graph? Pupil’s favorite colors.
What information is at the left side of the graph? The colors.
What does the legend tell us? It tells us that every drawing is equal to 5.
How many pupils like color blue? 30 children likes color blue.
Green is the color of how many children? 20 children.
Which color is the least favorite of the pupils? The color violet is the least favorite color.
Which color is the most favorite of the pupils? The most favorite color of the pupils is Red.
-Teacher will post another pictograph chart to discuss the parts of the
pictograph and the teacher will post the answers to the questions regarding the parts.

Pictograph is a pictorial representation of data. The parts are: title, legend, and label. The title
tells us what the graph is all about. The legend tells the number of a person or things each picture
stands for. The label is the data at the left side of the pictograph.
4. APPLICATION:
Teacher will post another chart and teacher will call students to name the parts of the graph.
