III-PLANNED ACTIVITIES:
A. PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES:
1. DRILL –Show the students a pie graph of the percentage of the television viewers of
top 3 network channels. Teacher will ask questions regarding the pie graph.
What channel has the least number of viewers? TV 5 has the least number of viewers.
How much percentage of viewers does TV 5 has? TV 5 has 25% television viewers.
B. DEVELOPMENTAL SKILLS
1. MOTIVATION
– Have the pupils sing a song. The title of the song is “I can sing a Rainbow”.

3. GENERALIZATION
1. What are the parts of a pictograph?
2. Where do you find the title of the pictograph?
3. Where do you find the labels of the pictograph?
4. Where do you find the legend of the pictograph?
Pictograph is a pictorial representation of data. The parts are: title, legend, and label. The title
tells us what the graph is all about. The legend tells the number of a person or things each picture
stands for. The label is the data at the left side of the pictograph.
4. APPLICATION:
Teacher will post another chart and teacher will call students to name the parts of the graph.

5. GROUP ACTIVITY
Teacher will group the class in three. And teacher will provide the parts of the
pictograph. Each group will make a pictograph using the provided data.
