Safety regulations

The following instructions for safe operation should especially be

observed:

• The Charging Station is built according to the newest technique and is safe for
operation. Nevertheless, danger could still arise, if incorrectly operated by non
qualified personnel, or if used for the wrong purpose.

• The Charging Station serves the sole purpose of charging systems with refrigerants
after the refrigerant systems have been evacuated. Any other use, apart from this, is
considered as not conforming to regulations and is entirely at the risk of the operator.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the
aforementioned misuse.

• Any operation, which may impair the safety of the Charging Station, should be
avoided.

• Operations, which heat up the refrigerant, should be avoided. Under no

circumstances should the storage tank be heated, in order to increase the pressure.

• The handstop valves must be continuously open during operation. Only in case of
service or a leak in the system, these valves should be closed.

• Only non-filled systems should be evacuated.

• The gun has to be coupled to the system during the complete process. In case the
gun is discoupled, refrigerant can directly blow off. If necessary, it is recommended
to wear protective cloth (gloves and glasses).

• Operator changes to the mechanics or electrics, which might impair the safety,
should be avoided.

• All maintenance tasks should be performed only after switching off. The plug should
be withdrawn from the mains. In case of faults in the electrical power supply, switch
off the station directly. Works on electrical parts are allowed to carry out only by an
electrician or under supervision of an electrician by using the electrical rules.

• The process should be performed only when a system is connected. The connected
system should only be detached, when the process has been finished.

• When replacing components, use only original components Use only original fuses
with the required amperage.

• When dismantling, bear in mind that the systems are under pressure.

• When handling the refrigerant, the manufacturer's safety rules should be observed.

• For operation, the local safety rules are in any case binding.

Safety regulations

• During the processes ‘Self evacuation’ and ‘Manual Evacuation’ the gun can heat up.

• Do not charge pre-charged systems. In case a system is charged once, the

refrigeration system has to be pre-evacuated before connecting it to the charging
station.

• In case no system is connected, refrigerant is blown off. Refrigerant, which contacts

the skin, can lead to injury

• Depending on the use of the machine it is to define, whether protective glasses and
gloves have to be worn.

• Before start working the personnel has to read the operation manual, and here
especially the chapter Safety Instructions. During the working process it is too late.
This also applies to personnel, who only works from time to time at the machine, eg
for service or maintenance.

• From time to time you have to check, if the personnel works according to the safety
rules of the operational manual

• Pay attention to all safety and danger related text plates on the station.

• Work on pneumatic devices is only allowed by trained personnel.

• Parts of the station, on which inspection or maintenance is carried out, have to be

switched current-free, if prescribed. The current free switched parts first have to be
checked, if they are current free, then to be connected to earth, short circuited and
the nearby parts have to be insolated.

• In case of functional faults the station has to be stopped. Remove then the fault.
Check the processes by means of the operational manual.

• The Charging Station is not suitable for and should not be used with flammable
refrigerants.

Operation

Basics

When the operating philosophy was conceived, it was felt that a simple and user
friendly operation was the ultimate aim.

The operation is menu driven. 4 Function keys, which are defined on the screen, are
used to choose the different menus.

For this purpose, the display is divided into 2 lines:

Data can only be saved, deleted or changed at program level. Data cannot be
manipulated at operator level!

Both levels are separated from each other by a key switch.

Data is put in using the numeric pad.

The following procedures can be carried out using this equipment:

- automatic procedure consists of evacuation, pressure rise test, charging.

Program mode

- manual evacuation
- manual charging
- recovery of the charging station

This fault is optional and normally not activated. During the charging process the
refrigerant pressure is measured. Stays this pressure during a pre-adjusted time below
