    “Bullying is insidious. It is not one great dramatic incident. It is a


    gradual process of victimization where the child becomes more and more
    isolated and afraid and the bully gets more and more aggressive,
    strengthened through group support and lack of adult action.” By Susanne

    We should give more attention towards this issue because there are many
    victims from the past years and most of them are students. The victim is not
    the weaker one; A bully is always a coward.
    Bullying as Hindrance in Reaching our Dream

    In this modern generation we almost have everything we need. The


    advancement and development are always at hand. We have the information that
    we need but not all we have are for good. As it is written in the book of 1
    Corinthians in the Bible, "Everything is permissible for me"--but
    not everything is beneficial.”; Especially to the youth and young people,
    their mind are open to adopt the things they see and the emotions that they
    feel. We cannot deny the fact that even at the young age, a child may hurt
    other child especially in school and we are all familiar in it. Bullying is
    the use of force, or threat, to abuse, aggressively dominate or intimidate.
    The behavior is often repeated and habitual. 

    Susanne Gervay once said, “Bullying is insidious. It is not one great


    dramatic incident. It is a gradual process of victimization where the child
    becomes more and more isolated and afraid and the bully gets more and more
    aggressive, strengthened through group support and lack of adult action.” She
    is a specialist in child growth and development and author and was inspired
    by a son's experience of school bullying, to write I Am Jack. Some victims of
    bullying are person with disabilities and sometimes a discrimination between
    rich and poor. They are not able to go outside their house because of fear
    and traumatic experience and most of them stopped in going and transfer to
    another school. Bullying may be physical, verbal or emotionally abusing
    someone. There is an article from DepEd Nueva Ecija titled, “Pang-aapi
    (Bullying)..Dapat Maiwasan”, wherein Vicencio, the author of the article give
    some reason why does bullying are happening. Based on him, he observed that
    most of the bullies are those who lacks in attention and love and whose
    looking for affection in the family and they are those who needs to be
    discipline by their parents. On the other hand at Balita.net, a student from
    San Jose, Pili, Camarines Sur died because of physical bullying and it was
    between 12 and 1 students. Based on a literature called “Bullying and
    Harassment at Schools”, bullying and harassment are not an old issue and it
    is said that it is a developmental stage that every youth has a possibility
    to experience it.

    Those are the facts and evidences that bullying are not good and has a
    very bad effects for students. Both of the victim and the bullies must give
    attention and love that they needs. For the victims, it may bring fear to you
    and a very traumatic experience but please, don’t lose hope. Not all people
    around you are bad person. You still deserve to live in freedom, free from
    all the hurt and fear. There are still good people who are willing to help
    you. Lastly, For all students out there, bullying are not good, Stop this
    kind of barrier and issue and work hard to reach your goal. Be good to all
    people around you and live with peace.
