Summary:

Native Tribal Health Consortium.Community council officer for 10 years. Created agendas for

Grant writer- Authored Alaska Science Teaching Foundation Grant for $5600, assisted in grant
for $30,000 for Nunaka Valley Playground, and won $1400 and $1600 for Scenic Park and
Kasuun through Alaska Arts and Health PTSA, co-authored a Challenge Grants for neighborhood
trail $40,000 and TAP grant $560,000

Community Service:
Worked with Wendler students on the following volunteer projects: making monthly dinner for
Clare House residents, sewing holiday stockings for Alaska Psychiatric Institute, raised $1000 for
American Cancer Society, Raised funds for Friends of Pets, Sewed hats for Brother Francis
Shelter, Coordinated food drive for The Food Bank of Alaska, washing and organizing Anchorage
Junior Nordic jackets, Making blankets and "move-in" baskets for AWAIC, Fund raised and
coordinated efforts to build a new trail in my neighborhood, officer of the Scenic Foothills
Community Council.

Professional Experience:

March 2022- present


Senior Research Associate Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium- Interview patients with
respiratory illnesses, collect respiratory samples, review medical charts. Also, present
information on a vaccine study and get their informed consent for participation.
October 2020- February 2022
UAA Surge Protectors, Contact Tracing. Completed HIPAA compliant monitoring and Case
Investigation calls to Alaskan residents. Led investigation teams from March 2021- present.
Trained new investigators and helped to create training exercises for new monitoring team
members.

Scenic Park and Kasuun Elementary Schools Anchorage, AK
Health Teacher K-6
Taught K-6 health, pullout style at Kasuun and Scenic Park Elementary Schools. Used Great
Body Shop curriculum with extensions to teach units from safety, healthy eating, growing up
and being drug free.

Created and taught a Family and Consumer Science curriculum aimed at enhancing core
curriculum learning through hands-on projects. I am most proud of my "Entertaining Unit",

Along with the regular teaching duties, I coordinated 6th grade camp experiences at Victory
Bible Camp and Challenger Learning Center. I started a fall cross country running program and
spring Heart Run training group. Created whole class performances for Bayshore talent shows
and assisted in Battle of the Books practices. Enhanced curriculum through hands-on activities
such as orienteering, testing pond samples, building model structures and many thematic units.

Planned and implemented recreational programs for patients of API and residents of
Harborview Developmental Centers. Activities included arts and crafts, games, daily living skills,
