MATERIALS & EQUIPMENTS NEEDED:

 Set of Sieves (Sizes no. 4, 8, 16, 30, 50, 100, 200, Pan)
 Shovel
 Weighing scale
 Brush
 Container

PROCEDURE:

1. Prepare disturbed soil and put it in the container.

2. Weigh and record weight of the sample & also weigh the container.

The weight of the soil sample that our group get is 650.75kg.

3. Put the soil in the sieve sets.

4. Put the sieve in the mechanical sieve shaker or shake the sieve
horizontally.

5. Carefully weigh and record the weight of each sieve with its retained
soil.

6. Compute for the required data.
