 Abstract

Our project focuses on planning designing of estimation of Online Bus Pass

System plan. In this exclusive computer project one will get some vital
information on how to develop perfect pass system for any person who travel
from bus. The main objective of our project is to reduce manual work for
managing work online like planning and estimate. We have planned to
designing application to getting pass online. This project involves the
design, analysis, planning and schedule of a pass system. Through this
registration of bus pass for students and renewal of pass is are easy. Students
are facing the problem of current manual work and waiting long time in a
queue.

1. INTRODUCTION
The project entitled “Online Bus Pass Registration / Renewal” is developed using
android. Mobile app provide the solution for student bus pass, route pass and bus ticket,
route information and scan qr code verification for bus pass. Bus pass registration is
useful for students and all passengers to get the bus pass ID, who are facing problems
with the current manual work of bus pass registration and renewal. His/her renewal or
registration can be done through mobile app.In the manual system the user has to go on
particular date and time if they fail then the renewal cannot be done.This online bus
pass registration application will help candidates to save their time and renewal bus
pass without standing in a line for hours near counters. Initially uses need to register
with the application by submitting their details through online. The administrator will
verify the candidate details and if they are satisfied they will approve bus pass. The
candidate can login with their username and password and renewal is performed.

You can find all the bus pass related information online without going to the bus
station.
This online bus pass software system will help students and passengers get bus
passes online and eliminate the need of standing in queues for passes or
collecting a ticket for each journey.
The payment can be done online via credit or master card.

2. LITERATURE SURVEY
With a digital approach, we can remove the drawbacks of a traditional system. The scope of
having a digital pass is vast as it is going to eliminate the hassle of getting a physical pass on
a daily basis, and also at the sametime, it reduces manual intervention keeping the system very
much safe and secure. The commuters will not haveto worry about carrying such small
denomination of money with themselves, rather they can easily pay throughtheir cards or their
UPIs. This digital system, though, is not only useful for the commuters, but it will also be agreat
help to the bus authority as they will no longer suffer from any losses caused due to misuse of
passes andthereby increasing their revenue[36].The passengers can also benefit by the offers or
discounts that the buscompany may provide occasionally over the digital platform.Digital pass
system for buses either use a website or an application to provide services to commuters. For
thedevelopment of this system, analysis of traditional system is needed. And to overcome its
shortcomings, a digital bus pass application is proposed with various features such as pass
renewal, pass generation, payment, categorywise pass (student, women and elderly, specially-
abled), editing of pass etc. Both, bus authorities as well as the passengers can enjoy benefits of
this digital approach.This new e-pass system is not only advanced but also effective and
efficient. The objective of this approachis to automate the payment as well as pass issuing
procedure with more safety and security than it was before.The passengers get the independence
of using any fare paying model that is allowing full self-administration.
The primary key success factor of the digital pass is the interoperability and simplicity of the syst
em from the
 passenger’s point
-of-view[38]. The passengers can be sure that they will be guided safely to use this e-
passapplication and get the most of it.This type of digital approach exists in one of the European
country i.e. Germany and their success is veryhuge and motivating. Countries like Germany is
using e-ticketing for public transportation by associating withtheir public transport companies
such as Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen (VDV) who founded theVDV core application
for bringing the e-ticketing approach in their country. With such a hit, other countries havestarted
to evaluate the VDV core application. Australia has successfully developed a pilot model for the
same aswell[39]. As the time progresses, more countries will be coming forward and will
become aware of the need of adigital approach in their transportation as well
