Recold MC Series Evaporative Condenser — Selection Procedure 2

EVAPORATOR TON METHOD

Recold MC Series evaporative condenser models may be the system evaporator ton load. Select the standard unit model
selected by using one of two different methods. The simplest number which is greater than or equal to the result.
method is based on evaporator ton load and is intended for Example:
open type reciprocating compressor applications only.
Given:
The second method is based on the total heat of rejection,
which provides a more comprehensive and accurate selection. Evaporator Load, R-22 75 Tons
In addition to selecting units for open type reciprocating Entering Air Wet Bulb 72°F
compressor systems, this method may be applied to selecting Condensing Temperature 105°F
condensers for systems with centrifugal, hermetic reciprocating
or rotary screw type compressors. The total heat of rejection Suction Temperature 30°F

Basically, Total Heat Rejection is the sum of the compressor Entering Air Wet Bulb 75°F

Evaporator loads in BTUH can readily be determined from
data provided by the manufacturer. Compressor loads can be Total Heat of Rejection = 779,000 BTUH
