What about ambiverts?
There’s a modern trend of people who identify as ambiverts. That is, someone who falls
“in the middle” between introversion and extroversion. All aspects are on a spectrum
and yes, you can be somewhere “in the middle.” And yet, I still think if we’re honest with
ourselves, we do fall on one side of these tracks most of the time. The tricky part is
identifying which side we most naturally prefer because the questions we’re asked to
figure this out are sometimes misleading and/or difficult to answer.

As 16personalities.com demonstrates in their article, “On the Topic of Ambiversion,”...

“When you are asked whether you would rather go to a party than read a book, you might
counter by saying ‘depends on the party and the book.’ This is a perfectly reasonable
response – even the most withdrawn Introvert might choose to go to a party with 2-3 close
friends as opposed to reading a boring book. Likewise, even the most Extraverted and
dedicated party-goer might want to take some time off and check out the latest fad in the
book world. Does this mean that they are ambiverts? Probably not.”

So be careful here. And if you truly do fall “in the middle,” as always, I recommend
blending your top two Marketing Personality Types to find the absolute best strategy for
you.

INTUITIVE VS. OBSERVANT

N vs. S
Whether you are Intuitive or Observant, this aspect of your personality type relates to
your Energy and how you view the world and take in information. Intuitive individuals
tend to pay attention to internal information and cues, which leads them to be
imaginative, open-minded, and curious. Because they’re not as focused on the “brass
tax” of the situation, they are often creative with a belief in the vast possibility of the
future. Observant individuals tend to pay attention to external information and cues,
which leads them to be pragmatic and grounded. Because they are focused on the
“brass tax,” they are often realistic, knowing what has happened or is happening in the
here and now.

MARKETINGPERSONALITIES.COM
THINKING VS. FEELING
T vs. F
Whether you are a Thinking or Feeling individual, this aspect of your personality type
relates to your Nature and how you make decisions and deal with emotions. Thinking
individuals tend to make decisions based on numbers and cold hard facts, which helps
them be objective, rational, and logical. By preferring thinking over feeling, they tend to
hide or stuff down their feelings so they can focus on the facts and prioritize
efficiency.  Feeling individuals tend to make decisions based on their senses and
emotions, which helps them be empathetic and caring. By preferring feeling over
thinking, they tend to be emotionally expressive and prioritize social harmony.

JUDGING VS. PERCEIVING

J vs. P
Whether you are a Judging or Perceiving individual, this aspect of your personality type
relates to your Tactics and how you approach work and decision-making. Judging
individuals tend to see more of a black and white picture when they look out at life, so
they find it easier to make clear decisions and boundaries. They prefer clarity and
closure and therefore, organization and structured plans of action.Perceiving individuals
tend to see more of a gray picture when they look out at life, so they often keep their
options open, while staying flexible with looser boundaries. They prefer scanning for
opportunities and options, “going with the flow,” and dealing with situations as they
arise.

Does Judging mean “judgmental?”

Let me be super clear - NO. Judging does not mean judgmental. Being “judging” means
being “discerning” and seeing clearly defined lines between object A and object B, option
A and option B.

MARKETINGPERSONALITIES.COM
ASSERTIVE VS. TURBULENT
A vs. T
Here at Marketing Personalities, we don’t factor this aspect into your best marketing
strategy suggestions, but you can still apply what you know about this final aspect to
your Marketing Personality Type®. Whether you are Assertive or Turbulent, this aspect
of your personality type relates to your Identity and how confident you are about
yourself, your abilities, and your decisions. And unlike the other aspects, this final letter
in your personality type unpins all other aspects. It tells us how confident you are in all
other aspects of your personality. Assertive individuals tend to be self-assured and
confident in who they are, what they stand for, how able they are, and what decisions
they make.Turbulent individuals tend to be self-conscious and questioning who they
are, what they stand for, how able they are, and what decisions they make.

IMPORTANT TRIBE THEMES

As an INTJ, you are a part of the ANALYST TRIBE

All members of the Analyst Tribe have the personality preferences of Intuitive and
Thinking in common.

As an intuitive-thinking Analyst, you are RATIONALE-DRIVEN

You tend to believe in what makes rational sense to you.

Your internal mantra might be, “BY FAILING TO PLAN, YOU PLAN
TO FAIL.”
You are naturally gifted in creating a logical plan to get the job done. And because you’re
often imaginative and strong-willed, you not only create innovative solutions to
problems - you find a way for them to be implemented too.

You must start with STRATEGY

You’re willing to work on something if, and only if, the strategy to completing the work is
comprehensive and strategic. Without a clear strategy, you quickly lose interest and feel
like you’re wasting time.

And you love the DEDUCTION PROCESS

You often feel best when you’re deducing the “big picture” or vision into smaller,
actionable steps and milestones.

WHERE YOUR GREATEST IMPACT LIES
To make your greatest impact in your business and with your business, consider tapping
in to two key pieces of how you operate: your Flow and your Power. You find Flow when
you operate at such a natural level, you lose track of time. You’re so skilled at what
you’re doing while you’re in Flow that you might not even realize how skilled you are at
this activity. You find Power when you display and communicate your unique, innate
abilities and perspectives. When paired together, your Flow allows you to feel good,
while your Power shows others how valuable you are, which creates the impact you
were born to make.

HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT YOUR

FLOW AND POWER, AS AN INTJ.
You find Flow during time spent analyzing data, metrics, and cues, finding their patterns,
and ultimately constructing a plan of action from the logical insight you’ve unearthed.
Being one of the most logical personalities to exist, paired with your insatiable thirst for
innovation, you are exceptional at understanding how things typically work and
changing those patterns to create an even better reality.

Your Power is realized when you implement an innovative strategy you’ve developed

make it as automated as possible. You’re not one to be “tied down” for too long, so if the
funnel requires a considerable amount of your presence and “hand-holding” of the
potential customer, you might bail even before they do.

Within your sales funnel, be sure to showcase your positive results so your audience can
see the real-life advantages of working with you. Highlighting your deduction process as
you present your results can aid in your audience’s understanding and appreciation for
what you’ve built. Otherwise, they may remain confused about the true value of what
you offer.

And don’t forget to surprise and delight! You think differently from all the other
personality types, often in an eccentric, magnetic way. How might you infuse that
eccentricity into your funnel to make it your own?

The main functions of your sales funnel will be as follows:

Potential customer finds out about your business/product/serviceVisits website
Opts in for your free lead magnet with their email address
Receives automated email sequenceLearns about your product/service through email
Purchases product/service online
Incentivized to refer others to you with a digital affiliate link or promo code

You’ll see this funnel come to life in a strategy map soon. Once you have your marketing
strategy built, remember to craft a comprehensive tracking spreadsheet that shows you
exactly how well each section of your funnel converts.
For instance, conversion rates such as
% of website visitors converted to email list subscribers
% of email list subscribers converted to paying customers
% of paying customers converted to referrers

When you have this data at your fingertips, you’ll feel empowered to continue tweaking
and innovating your funnel, maximizing its effectiveness and ROI.

Now it’s time to remember where your power lies and

LET’S REVIEW YOUR POWER.

most powerful when showing off the fullness of your

Your worst marketing strategy is based on the best marketing

As an INTJ, your opposite personality type is ESFP. Since an ESFP’s best marketing
strategy is entertaining an audience, whether it be from a stage or through a video,
that’s your worst strategy. Don’t get me wrong - you’re great at one-on-one
conversation. When you feel like you have to entertain an entire crowd, though, you lose
energy quickly. Release the pressure and rely on primarily automated, digital tactics to
do the heavy lifting for you.

Knowing this, is there anything in your current marketing strategy that does NOT
belong in your new, feel-good marketing strategy?

MARKETINGPERSONALITIES.COM
You can describe so much in just a few words. You might even think in clips and phrases
that pack a massive punch. You can then deliver those for the greatest impact in your
marketing strategy. So while some Marketing Personality Types can write long emails
and long sales pages with great results, those long-winded how-tos are boring and
worthless to you. Keep it short and to the point for your best communication.

You also tend to be extremely clever with your words. Some of the wittiest and most
successful copywriters out there are INTJs. Your wit can definitely serve you if done well.
However, clever can turn to cryptic in an instant, which tends to push your audience
away. If they can’t easily decipher what you’re trying to say, the wit and clever phrases
miss the mark and don’t do your message justice. To make sure you’re communicating
cleverly and clearly, check your writing and spoken word concepts with a trusted friend.
Check for understanding when speaking with someone and note when their brow
furrows and you lose them a little. That brow-furrowing bit might need a little reworking
for clarity’s sake.

YOUR BEST CONTENT
Every marketing strategy requires content in some format. Written emails. Blog posts.
Short tweets. Lengthier social media captions. Live video. Recorded video. Podcast
audio. Live, in-person talks. The list goes on.

So what format feels good for you to create and publish? You might already have an
idea of what content you’d most like to produce. But because there are so many content
formatting options and plenty of ways to repurpose one format into another, knowing
where to start and what content format to consistently hit publish on can be confusing.

A common misconception when identifying your best content format is the assumption
that Introverts write, while Extraverts speak. So with this thinking, you might assume
Introverts are meant to be writing blog posts, emails, and thoughtful social media posts,
while Extraverts are meant to be recording podcasts, making videos and going Live on
Facebook every day.

But that's not how it works. Your best content format relates less to where you land on
the Introversion to Extroversion scale and more on how you process information. There
are two ways you might prefer to process information - internally or externally.

Which do you prefer?

An Internal Processor prefers to process new information internally, through thought

rumination. It might be easy to assume that Introverts must all be Internal Processors
but that’s not the case at all, so please don’t let that cloud your thinking on this.

Signs you’re an Internal Processor:

You tend to ruminate on a situation or decision for a few days before speaking about
it with anyone else.
You know that if you give yourself enough time to think on a matter, clarity will
come.
You don’t feel the need to take a lot of notes while learning something new.
You don’t usually underline or circle things you’d like to remember later in your
nonfiction books and learning materials.

MARKETINGPERSONALITIES.COM
An External Processor prefers to process new information externally, through speaking
or writing out their thoughts. And of course, it might be easy to assume that Extroverts
must all be External Processors, but again, that’s not the case.

Signs you’re an External Processor:

You tend to feel like a pressure cooker when forced to keep thoughts and feelings in.
You know that if you can just “talk it out” or even write out your thoughts, clarity will
come.
You feel the need to take a lot of notes while learning something new. Somehow,
writing things down solidifies this new information in your brain.
You prefer to underline and circle things you’d like to remember later in your
nonfiction books and learning materials.
You might even have a notebook handy while reading to jot down notes in.

Can you see yourself in either of these descriptions? Which kind of processing do
you prefer?

Internal External

What if I’m a little bit of both?

It’s common to read through the descriptions here on this page and feel like you relate
to both of these types. You could, indeed, prefer a fairly even split between the two. But
to make sure, be vigilant over the next three to four days about how you really do
process new information. Now that you’ve read a bit about it, you might notice your
tendencies a bit more and see that you do prefer one type of processing over the other.
Stay vigilant and see what you might discover.

Now that you’ve identified what type of processing you prefer, let’s
match your preference for Introversion with your Processing
preference to find your best content format.

MARKETINGPERSONALITIES.COM
INTROVERTED + INTERNAL PROCESSOR
You tend to begin the content-creation process in your mind, long before any content
ends up on paper or even in a note on your phone. You need to ruminate on an idea for
it to become clear enough to document. Then, once you have reached a basic outline of
the concept in your head, you’re ready to put that outline on paper in written
word. From here, keep writing until your concept is fully fleshed out, often in blog post
or article form. And then, you can let it remain there if you’d like.

As an Introverted Internal Processor, you do not have to follow the common advice of
turning your blog posts into podcast episodes and videos. That kind of content
repurposing is for someone else if it feels good to them. If it does not feel good to you,
you don’t need to do it. Let your writing shine and move on to your next piece. Believe
me when I say THAT IS ENOUGH.

If you decide you’d like to repurpose your writing into other formats, I highly
recommend handing your writing off to someone who loves developing audio and video
so you can stay focused and centered in your Power Zone.

If you are an Introverted Internal Processor, what can you change about your
content creation process to better suit you?

MARKETINGPERSONALITIES.COM
INTROVERTED + EXTERNAL PROCESSOR
You tend to begin the content-creation process in a written brain dump. Once you get
an idea, you rush to document it, even if the documentation is messy and unstructured,
as fast as you possibly can. The notes app on your phone probably proves this to be
true. From here, begin organizing all that you brain-dumped into a structured outline.

Then you have two options:

1. You may fill in the gaps with more writing in order to develop a blog post, article, or
email.
2. You may create a recorded piece of audio (or even video, if you’re feeling it) based on
your structured outline.

The key here is to get your ideas out as soon as possible and allow them to become
clearer and more fine-tuned from there.

The tricky part may come in when sometimes you feel like only writing out your content,
while other times it feels good to record an audio or video. How do you develop a
consistent content strategy if that’s the case? In short, with grace. Maybe you don’t
promise a new blog post every week. Maybe you promise a new piece of content every
week and the format is always up to you!

If you are an Introverted External Processor, what can you change about your
content creation process to better suit you?

Also know that from your audience’s point of view, you sometimes might seem a bit
“untouchable” because you’re such an expert at what you do. If you aim to be an expert,
but still be accessible, remind your audience members that they can reach you through
Twitter Messages. You might think that’s common sense and doesn’t need to be
blatantly communicated, but it does. People naturally put you on a pedestal. If you’d still
like to engage in personal conversation with your audience, give them a clear, open
invite to reach out to you via Message.

structured, exact schedule with distinct times to create content and definite publish
deadlines.

Now, this might seem obvious to you. Of course you need a structured plan and
schedule. How else would stuff get done?!

Knowing that you’re a Judging Type, what might need to change about how you’re
currently approach work? Jot down your thoughts here.

But having a highly structured work environment does not feel good to everyone. Let’s
take a look at how Perceivers best approach their work to see how the other half of the
population operates best.

Perceiving Types tend to see more of a gray picture when they look out at life, so they
often keep their options open, while staying flexible with looser boundaries. They prefer
scanning for opportunities and options, “going with the flow,” and dealing with
situations as they arise.

MARKETINGPERSONALITIES.COM
Because of this, their best approach to work doesn’t include a structured, exact plan of
action and schedule, but rather, an approximate plan and schedule. I recommend
Perceiving Types to develop their best marketing strategy, map their plan of action,
create a schedule of when the tasks will be completed, but with a healthy dose of
flexibility and understanding that some things won’t go as planned and that’s
okay. When a Perceiving Type feels like they have to stick to the exact schedule, they
immediately either rebel against it or feel so uncomfortable they don’t feel like they can
properly execute on the plan. In short, they don’t feel good with an exact plan and
schedule. So they can afford to avoid that in order to succeed.

Do you know any Perceiving Types? How might you support them in working their
way, while you stay highly structured and planned out?

YOUR TOP TASK
MANAGEMENT TOOL
Since we all approach work a bit differently, we also
find some task management tools to be better than
others. The key in managing your tasks is finding the
right tool to organize them. The right task management
tool will organize tasks in a way that complements the
way your brain works so you’re inspired and confident
to execute on them.

For you, as an INTJ, I recommend using Airtable as a

task management tool. Airtable is a platform that
offers task and data management in a spreadsheet-like
user interface. But it goes way, way beyond what a
regular spreadsheet offers.

As Airtable puts it, “In a world filled with increasingly

specific and rigid apps, Airtable takes a radically different
approach by giving you (yes, you!) the building blocks to
create your own way of organizing anything from film
projects to apartment hunts and customer lists.”

Music to an INTJ’s ears, isn’t it? You love creating your

own way to do things!

In Quiet, Susan Cain argues that we dramatically undervalue introverts

and shows how much we lose in doing so. She charts the rise of the
Extrovert Ideal throughout the twentieth century and explores how
deeply it has come to permeate our culture. She also introduces us to
successful introverts—from a witty, high-octane public speaker who

For Online Product Selling: Thrivecart

“The no. 1 cart software that grows your income from existing traffic and pays for itself many
times over with high converting checkout pages, upsells & affiliate campaigns.”
As you attract more visitors to your website, use Thrivecart to safely and securely offer
your products for purchase. And if you’d like to offer an affiliate program for your
products, Thrivecart will support that too.
Here’s why I use Thrivecart at Marketing Personalities:
1. You pay for Thrivecart just once to get a lifetime license. So no matter how long I use
Thrivecart and no matter how much I sell on the platform, I pay once and that’s it.
2. Thrivecart is an entire online cart system that allows me to list my digital products
and sell them securely 24/7. Once you have your products listed on Thrivecart, you
can then create sales pages through Thrivecart OR embed your checkout section right
into your own custom sales page on your website, which is what I’ve done.
3. You don’t need to know how to optimize for conversions – Thrivecart* does that for
you with their sales page templates, upsell recommendations, and other smart sales
features.
4. It’s super easy to know exactly how your sales are doing and how well your affiliates
are performing with Thrivecart’s* reporting and dashboard tools. I check mine every
single day and within seconds have an accurate read on how things are going.
5. If you do offer an affiliate program, Thrivecart* automatically pays your affiliates their
commission, based on the timing parameters you’ve set. I have my account set to pay
out a commission as soon as it has been earned. You could do that, or you could set
Thrivecart to pay out commissions weekly or monthly or even yearly. You have full
control over the settings and then Thrivecart handles the rest.

For Email Marketing Automation: Active Campaign

“Go beyond email marketing with true marketing automation”

Ever since switching from Mailchimp to Active Campaign mid-2018, I’ve never looked
back. I recommend Active Campaign for all your company’s Email Marketing needs,
especially for small business owners who need that next level of segmentation,
automation, and split testing the other email marketing providers overcomplicate or
simply don’t offer.
As an INTJ, I expect you to especially appreciate Active Campaign’s Automation Map
feature. As you develop your perfect digital sales funnel, you’ll need to ensure you’re
delivering the right message at the right time to your prospective customers.
Automation Maps make sure you do this on auto-pilot, which is KEY because you’ve got
bigger things to work on, innovate, and create.

For Pinterest Marketing: Tailwind App

Think of Pinterest as a visual search engine. While Pinterest isn’t the right platform to
focus on for every business, it is for some. If you have a product or service you’re selling
online that has an engaging visual component to it, consider using Pinterest as a key
tool to drive prospective customers to your website. Pinterest is also a great platform
for you if you’re creating new helpful content regularly for your audience that they’d
naturally go to Pinterest to search for. To maximize your effectiveness on Pinterest,
you’ll need a Pin scheduling tool. I recommend using Tailwind for this. You’ll be able to
“discover new content, schedule posts, monitor conversations, amplify reach, and analyze
results - all in one tool.”

STEPS
Your Marketing Personality Type serves
as the foundation, the backbone, of your
company’s marketing strategy. As you’ve
learned throughout this Report, your
Type tells us so much about how you best
show up to attract the right clients and
customers to your offers.

Now, there are two other factors involved

in the perfect marketing strategy - WHAT
you market and WHO you market to. So
let’s identify those now.

MARKETINGPERSONALITIES.COM
WHAT YOU MARKET

Now is the time to identify exactly what you will market to your audience.

Jot down your suite of products and/or services here, from the lowest value to the
highest value.

MARKETINGPERSONALITIES.COM
WHO YOU MARKET TO

As I previewed in the Introduction, knowing who your ideal client or customer is is not a
bad question. It’s just a bad first question. Because if you build your entire strategy on
who you think your ideal client is, you could end up creating a strategy that feels super
uncomfortable for you to implement, which only repels people.

Now that you’ve developed a solid foundation for your marketing strategy, based on
your Marketing Personality Type, you can further define who your ideal client or
customer is and use this intel to shape your marketing messages.

That’s the main distinction I want you to walk away with:

Your Marketing Personality Type indicates where

and how you market your offerings.

Your ideal client indicates what you say to your

audience when you’re marketing.

Now, describe who your ideal client or customer is here.

MARKETINGPERSONALITIES.COM
Describe your ideal client or customer’s problem you solve with your offerings.

Describe what your ideal client or customer really, deeply wants from you.

Having trouble answering these questions?

This additional guide, designed to help you really, deeply
define your ideal client or customer, will help.
