Minutes of the meetings on the involvement of stakeholders headed by the school planning team (SPT)

with signed attendance.

Preliminaries

Silangan Elementary School held its “Ratification of School Improvement Plan” meeting this July 8, 2020
at 9:00AM via Google meet. The meeting was attended by the school principal, teacher s, GPTA and
other stakeholders who have major part on each project. The program started with the AVP of the
“Lupang Hinirang” and followed by a prayer by Mr. Alfeo Gorospe, the school Brigada Coordinator. The
school principal gave her welcome remarks and greeted each attendee with warm message and
encouraging thoughts. The checking of attendance was done by Ma’am Hazel Mabilin followed by the
Netiquette that was discussed by Ma’am Gila Marie Lubugin.

Statement of the Purpose was then given by the principal, Ms. Anamarie Jabat which was followed by Dr
Magno Abueme’s inspirational message. An AVP showing the school’s accomplishments was shown as
the final part of the preliminary program.

Meeting Proper

Ma’am Suzette Damayo, the E-SIP Coordinator and school OIC, started the meeting by presenting and
discussing the objectives and agenda of the meeting. Ma’am Damayo put emphasis on the 3R’s which is
the focus of the school’s ESIP this year. This 3R’s which is a flagship program aims to eradicate illiteracy,
provide new and innovative campaign on access to education to foster initiatives on professional
development, and lastly to strengthen stakeholders’ cooperation on different programs and projects
that the school needs support.

The first project to discuss its objectives and plans is the PROJECT GABAY spearheaded by Ma’am Nelia
Tinaan. The project aims to decrease drop out rate by the end of each school year. Ma’am Tinaan
confidently stated that she is putting much effort for the success of this project for she believes that
education is the key for the better life of the learners. The next one to discuss was the school’s OIC,
Ma’am Suzette Damayo. She is the one leading PROJECT RATE, a program that focuses on increasing the
mean percentage scores of the five major subject areas by 5% by the end of each school year. Ma’am
Damayo reiterated that the project will strictly focus on providing quality learning process by working on
effective academic techniques to achieve learning competencies and increase retention of the learners.

Ma’am Analyn Gorospe was the next in line who discussed the PROJECT BRB4 (Barangayan para sa
Bawat Bata Bumabasa) which main objective is to decrease the number of non readers in Grade 1 to 6
by 20%. Ma’am Gorospe’s dedication for this project’s success was so evident that she fully supported
all her members in order to implement the program effectively. The PROJECT R-SWAT which is headed
by Ma’am Susana Pulido aims to retool and equip teachers using technology or ICT-based instructions by
50% in order to improve educators in their teaching to achieve efficient and effective learning process.
Ma’am Pulido being a well-experienced teacher has shown her dedication in helping teachers to
improve in their profession. Lastly, Mr. Abram Byron Somera, the leader of the PROJECT CONNECT
discussed the importance of the participation of the stakeholders and assured that he will strongly
implement communication and cooperation among the faculty, school personnel and the stakeholders
in achieving what is the best for the school and the community.

The program ended with sharing of comments and suggestions regarding each project. The Barangay
Captain, Hon. Larissa Adora was present and gave her full support on each project discussed. Hon.
Sotero Sulit also expressed his approval and support being the Barangay Education Committee
Chairman. Mrs. Ann Margarette Lo, the GPTA President, was also present during the meeting and
provided insights and feedback on behalf of the parents whose children are studying in Silangan
Elementary School. Other attendees who showed support and affirmation were Erik John Ballesteros (SK
chairman) and Rica Canadilla (SPG President).

Ratification

As the program formally ended, Ma’am Susana Pulido, Master Teacher 1, gave the closing remarks
which was followed by an AVP of the Commitment Song. Prayer of thanks was then led by Ma’am
Basilisa Momongan, the Grade 6-Grade Leader and the words of adjournment by Mr. Albert Hular,
Grade 6 teacher.
