Product Datasheet
Phosphor Bronze Service. Quality. Value.

Gear Bronze

PB2 benefits from excellent wear resistance

with good machinability.

With increased tin content when compared to PB1,

PB2 phosphor bronze alloy benefits from excellent
wear resistance. The product offers high strength
and good machining characteristics. Good
corrosion resistance is also a feature, particularly in
saltwater and brine environments. Often referred
to as a ‘gear bronze’, PB2 finds typical use in
applications such as pump and valve components
and bearings which are subject to medium to high
loads and speeds.

The alloy also offers good resistance to pounding

and impact loading.
