Module 6 Scribd

This document proposes a lesson plan that uses Spotify Podcasts as an instructional tool. Students will read a book of their choice and then create a 2-minute podcast explaining their favorite piece of knowledge from the book. They will share their podcast with the class and listen to 3 other students' podcasts, providing feedback. The goal is for students to understand information from books and practice communicating their understanding through audio recording. By creating and sharing podcasts, students will take an active role in their learning as empowered learners.

their favorite piece of knowledge grabbed from the book. They will then share this podcast to the
class and each student will listen to 3 other students podcasts and give feedback.
Managing student learning: Students will be active social learners in this lesson, they will learn on their
own as well as learn from their peers. Student learning will be at their own pace.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Reflection: Be sure to mention one specific UDL principle you
are focused on in this lesson – Multiple Means of Engagement, Multiple Means of Representation,
or Multiple Means of Action & Expression.

The technology tool for this assignment will support and enhance the students learning by giving
students another way to learn topics through audio/podcasting. Spotify Podcast supports
engagement and expression being students can push their voice out to what they understand or
learned. Spotify podcasts enables the students to be able to learn and comprehend at extraordinary
rates.
Reflection:
After designing this lesson idea I feel this activity will positively affect student learning by enabling
students to voice out their own understanding. This will allow students to be creative while learning
and engaging the classroom. I am very much looking forward to hearing the students’ findings from
the books they chose, because I will see each child’s creativity and difference in this assignment.
