distributed. If 15% of the students greater than or equal to 60 marks, 40% less
than 30 marks. Find the mean and standard deviation.

2. 7. A random sample of size 100 is taken from an infinite population having the
mean μ=76 and the varianceσ 2=256. What is the probability that x will be
between 75 and 78?
.
3.Samples of size 2 re taken from the population 3,6,9,15,27 with replacement.
Find
a) The mean of the population.
b) The standard deviation of the population.
c) The mean of the sampling distribution of means and
d) The standard deviation of the sampling distribution of means.

4. A normal population has a mean of 0.1 and standard deviation of 2.1 .Find the
probability that mean of a sample of size 900 will be negative.

5. The mean of certain normal population is equal to the standard error of the
mean of samples of 64 from that distribution. Find the probability that the mean of
the sample size 36 will be negative.
