A VERY UNUSUAL HONEYMOON TRIP

A

The park officer was very sympathetic and explained that it wasn’t the first time that something like this had happened. Unfortunately, our travel company wasn’t as understanding and said
that, because the incident hadn’t been committed by a human, they wouldn’t pay. It ended up being a very expensive day!

B
For our honeymoon, Mary and I went on a car tour of the Western United States. We rented a car and set off for this adventure. It was the first time that we had been doing something like

that and, naturally, we were excited and scared. We didn’t have any experience driving for so many hours and especially in places surrounded by forests and mountains. We had always been
people from the city. So much nature was very different from our everyday lives!

C
We started walking quite early in the morning and it was starting to get dark by the time we got back to the car. To our horror, we realized that somebody, or something, had broken into the

rented car. Our bags had been pulled out and ripped open, and our possessions were all over the car park. It was then that we saw the paw prints all over the car and realized who the thief
must have been – a hungry bear!

D
One day we decided to go trekking in one of the national parks. It was recommended in the guide book as a great place for walking. The landscape around there was totally calm and there
was lots of wildlife to spot if you were lucky. We parked in an area of dense forest, overlooking a beautiful valley. Then, we continued on foot for a couple of hours.

Task A: Number the paragraphs in the correct order. One has already been done.

1 B

Task B: Circle T for true and F for false. Correct the false statement/s on the blank line/s below.

4 Thanks to the travel company, they got their money back. T F

5 The couple faced different situations during this trip. T F
