III. PROCEDURE c. Checking of attendance

For systematic checking of attendance, learners will just erase their codes in the ‘outer
space’ to show that they are already present in the class.

(Learners who, in case, will have difficulty of joining the class due to technical
problems, as well as those unavoidably absent due to sickness, will be given a copy of
the presentation and other learning materials.

 Review
Ask the learners about the past lesson. Have a Kahoot game about the
constellations to check their comprehension of the past lesson. Set the
rules for the game before starting to ensure smooth transition of the
game. The learner who will get the highest points will be declared
winner

A. ELICIT
Reviewing
previous lesson or
presenting the new
lesson

 Motivation
Have a ‘Space Maze.’ Have the pupils to find the missing message in the
space maze. Secret message: “God gave us Earth and made us its
caretakers.”
Integration: Discuss the different ways of thanking God for His
blessings to us.

G. ELABORATE
 Application

(Individual Activity)
Have an interactive game called “Space Travel.”

(Group Activities)
Group the pupils into five. Flash on the screen the following:

Group 1 – Cross out the given fact that does not belong to the group.
Group 2 – Identify/name the planets.
Group 3 – Arrange the planets from smallest to largest.
Group 4 – Arrange the planets according to their order from the sun.
Group 5 – Match the planets to their characteristics.
Group 6 – Match the planets to their names.

 Generalization

What is a planet?
Name the eight planets in our Solar System according to their order from the sun.
What is the largest planet in Solar system? What
is the smallest planet in Solar System?
What are the ringed planets in the Solar System?
