 Do not begin this test until you are told to do so.
 There are five sections in this practice paper. The tests include questions
on Verbal Reasoning, Maths and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
 The time allowed is given at the start of each section.
 Answers should be clearly marked in pencil on the answer sheet, in the
space provided.
 Use a separate sheet of paper for workings out.
 If you make a mistake, rub it out and insert your new answer.
 If you are not sure of an answer, choose the one you think would be
best, do not leave it blank.
 There are 100 questions and you will have 45 minutes to complete the
test.

7 The postman delivers a total of 280 letters in a village one morning. The ratio of letters is 2 second class
to 5 first class. How many second class letters does he deliver?

8 Adam is painting the fence in his very large garden. He uses 16 tins of paint to cover a total of 960
fence panels. How many panels does each tin of paint cover?

Tony has 80 rose bushes in his very large garden. 40% of them have white flowers and one fifth of them
have red flowers. The rest have yellow flowers. How many of Tony’s rose bushes have yellow flowers?

Stella has a box containing yellow, green and red scarves. She has a one in four chance of randomly
choosing a yellow scarf. If there are 16 scarves in the box and 5 of them are green, how many are red?

Simon is cleaning his car. He has a bucket which can hold 6l of water and a 600 ml bottle of car wash
liquid. He needs to add 5 ml of car wash liquid to every 500 ml of water that he uses. How many
