I. Learning
Competency
Contextualization and Lesson
is the education processCode
of relating the curriculum to a particular setting, situation, or
area of application to make the competencies relevant, meaningful to all learners.
Learning Competency
Different basic feature and importance of photosynthesis of and
respiration
Code
S9LT- lg-j-31
Content Standard
The structure and function of plant parts and organelles involved in
photosynthesis.
Performance Standard
Values Integration
II. Content
Subject Matter : : Photosynthesis
(The food making process of the plant.)
C. Discussing the new concept and practicing new skill (15 Minutes)
Show to the students a simulation from Phet Colorado about
Photosynthesis. Discuss the following concept to the students. Ask the
students to scan the code to get the lesson notes.
Appreciating the importance of plants not only as food but also protecting
human to avoid flooding and in other natural calamities. Ask the students to
identify the importance of plants.
“Life is powered by sunlight. The energy used by the most living cell
comes ultimately from the sun. Plants use energy from the sunlight to
produce its own food in the process called photosynthesis. Photosynthesis
is important for the plant grow. The decrease of carbon dioxide in the
atmosphere will be realized also in photosynthesis for the reason that
carbon dioxide is one of the raw material in photosynthesis.”
2. A tiny tube responsible in transporting water and nutrients from the root to the
entire parts of the plants.
