Main Girder Inspection
1 Perform a pre-start inspection of the
crane, checking for any visible damage
or defects.
2 Verify that all safety devices, such as
limit switches and overload protection
systems, are in proper working
condition.
3 Check the fluid levels (fuel, oil, hydraulic
fluid) and ensure they are at the
recommended levels.
4 Inspect the tires, outriggers, and
stabilizers for proper inflation and
stability.
5 Confirm that all controls and indicators
are functioning correctly.

Communication and Safety

6 Establish clear communication
procedures with the crane operator,
signal person, and any other personnel
involved.
7 Ensure that the work area is properly
barricaded and clear of obstructions.
8 Set up warning signs and barriers to
prevent unauthorized access.
9 Confirm that all necessary personal
protective equipment (PPE) is worn by
personnel in the work area.
Crane Setup and Stabilization
10 Choose an appropriate setup location
with solid ground and adequate load-
bearing capacity.
11 Deploy outriggers or stabilizers as
required, ensuring they are properly
positioned and leveled.
12 Set up proper crane configuration and
ensure the boom angle and extension
are within safe limits.
13 Verify that the crane is stable and secure
before proceeding with lifting
operations.

Load Capacity and Rigging

1 Determine the weight and dimensions
of the load to be lifted and confirm that
it is within the crane's rated capacity.
2 Ensure that the load is properly rigged
and secured with appropriate slings,
hooks, or attachments.
3 Check that all rigging equipment is in
good condition and has the necessary
load capacity.

Lifting Operation
4 Use standardized hand signals or radio
communication to coordinate
movements with the crane operator.
5 Maintain a safe distance from the load
and avoid standing directly underneath
it.
6 Lift the load smoothly and avoid sudden
or jerky movements.
7 Monitor the load and the surrounding
area continuously during lifting
operations.

Post Operational Procedure

8 After completing the lifting task, lower
the load carefully and set it down
securely.
9 Clear the area of any equipment, debris,
or materials used during the lifting
operation.
10 Conduct a post-operational inspection
of the crane, checking for any damage
or issues that may have occurred during
the operation.
11 Secure the crane and perform
shutdown procedures according to the
manufacturer's guidelines.
