GROOMING AND UNIFORM REGULATIONS

Paramount Airways projects the image of the airline to the public. A simple
uniform correctly and neatly worn, catches the public eye and is the best
advertisement for an efficiently run organisation. The converse is unfortunately
equally true.

As official representatives/ambassadors of Paramount Airways, staff should wear

their uniform with pride. An untidy appearance is reflection on the individual as
much as on Paramount Airways and shows a lack of personal pride and care.

Given below are the dress and uniform regulation for our staff.

1. Staff when on duty are required to wear uniforms of the approved pattern,
supplied to them by the Company.

2. No alterations or variations of the uniforms is permitted unless authorised.

3. Staff must exercise care in preserving the uniform in good condition.

4. The uniform must be worn in its entirety, and must be well laundered.

5. Uniforms will at all times be the property of the company and must be
surrendered in the event of cessation of employment.

Page No : 5
CABIN CREW

6. Uniform will be worn only on duty unless otherwise directed.

7. Staff in uniform must look impeccable before and after duty.

APPEARANCE OF CABIN CREW

GOAL:

Cabin Crew give the passengers a feeling of security and sense of hospitality
through their attitude and appearance. They are required to perform their duties
with a well groomed and attractive appearance. The crew should be charming,
radiate happiness and a confident presentation. This is aided by self-initiative
and self control.

ATTITUDE AND APPEARANCE

Our hospitality is the focus. The goal of our service is to extend the well being of
our customers. A dignified appearance is part of the quality product offered by
Paramount Airways. This is true wherever you are. Hence it is more important
that rules and regulations, policies and guidelines be understood, accepted and
implemented.

ATTITUDE

since your thinking has a direct bearing on your performance. Positive thinking
will let you use your ability and experience to the maximum. A step for
maintaining the right attitude and giving ourselves a total success is exercising
careful control over our language. The words we use on others and on ourselves
make a dramatic difference in that attitude.

Page No : 6
CABIN CREW
PARAMOUNT AIRWAYS GROOMING MANUAL

When we speak or converse, it should be delivered with considerable excitement,

enthusiasm and conviction. On the other hand, the same passion, excitement
and conviction when applied to negative words, thoughts and expressions can
have a negative impact on your attitude.

Great organisations are measured by feelings, attitudes and relationships. We

are Paramount Airways biggest asset. Our attitude contributes to our success.
Cabin Crew must realise that their attitude contributes to the image of the
company. Attitudes cannot be shaped by rules and regulations, but by a healthy
balance between body, mind and soul.

APPEARANCE:

The outward appearance in not completely influenced by professional appearance

and outlook but also by means of interaction with passengers and colleagues. It
is based on uniform guidelines and departmental standards, which inspite of their
nature consider the distinctiveness of each Cabin Crew.

The defining characteristics of attitide and appearance are:

● An engaging personality with a positive outlook on life.
● A natural radiant quality and well groomed appearance.
● Vitality, energy and physical fitness. Height and weight proportion.
● Overall presentation.

STANDARD AND SUPPLEMENTARY TRAINING

The concept of attitude and appearance is a factor throughout the entire career of
a Cabin Crew. It is the hallmark of leadership and a professional.

Style and discipline combine to form the Company's culture and these in turns are
enhanced by your personality. And remember if you believe in the best – you will
be the Best.

a) Hair types i) Undernourished

ii) Normal
iii) Healthy

Hair care tips given below are for all hair types.

Various ways of conditioning

➢ Henna – Henna (1-2) lemon juice (1/5/01) cup curd, 1/5 oil, (2-4) eggs,
(2-3) teaspoon coffee. Mix the above written ingredients into a thick batter
and to liquey, put cold tea leaf water. For conditioning apply this mixture
on your head for 20-30 minutes, if wanting color then apply it for minutes
to 01 hour.

➢ Apply a mixture of curd and lemon on every alternate wash, about 15

minutes before washing you hair.

➢ Apply mixture of egg yolk and curd, leave it on for 15-20 minutes and then
wash your hair.

➢ Apply un-boiled milk, leave it on for 20-minutes and then wash.

➢ Beer (Barley water) can also be used. Open a bottle/can of beet leave it
overnight, so that it is totally without fizz. The next morning wash hair with
it.

➢ Before every conditioning process it is always better to massage one's head

with hot oil (olive oil, coconut oil, amla oil, mustard oil) and if possible after
the massage, give your hair steam massage by wrapping them loosly in a
steaming hot towel.

Page No : 28
CABIN CREW
PARAMOUNT AIRWAYS GROOMING MANUAL

Split ends – Go to the parlor and get the split ends removed. Eat proper meals.
➢ For normal care, get hair trimmed fortnightly.

➢ As a rule, one should have a head wash every third day. Not washing hair,
or rather washing them once a week, even if they are oily, could lead to
dandruff, which in turn could leave to pimples on the forehead.

➢ Specially in monsoons, hair become very oily the second day, this should
not be neglected and head wash should be done accordingly.

➢ Before every wash, oil your head, preferably an hour before the wash or
over night. The concept that keeping oil in the hair for a day makes the hair
stronger is totally wrong.

➢ After shampooing, use a good hair conditioner.

Face and Neck

There are three kinds of skin type:

a) Oily
b) Dry
c) Normal

Wash your face with a good face wash, and if you don't want to use a face wash
then you can always use any of the natural ingredients mentioned below.

Skin Types

Oily Skin : Wash with mixture of besen and boiled milk

Page No : 29
CABIN CREW
PARAMOUNT AIRWAYS GROOMING MANUAL

Dry Skin : Wash with curd and later apply vaseline

Normal : Wash with curd

➢ After washing, pat your face/neck dry with the towel or a tissue, don't rub
it.
➢ People with patches of dryness should apply vaseline.
