INTRODUCTION
Congratulations. You have made a wise choice. You have invested in
your life. You’ve invested in your career.
In this book, I’m going to teach you The 3-Day Rule—the scientific
approach to attracting what you want—fast.
This is a basic introduction to let you know that you’re going to be
using your brain in a different way. You’re going to be applying brain
science to three particular steps and five rules that will help you manifest
what you want at an accelerated rate.
I have written lots of books and I do a lot of teaching and speaking, but
I don’t want to overwhelm you here. What I’ve done is boiled it all down to
just the essence of what you need to attract the life you really want.
This is the material that works. These are the steps that will finally
bring to you what you want as long as you do them.
The steps aren’t hard, but you need to know all three of them, and you
need to apply all three of them together to create synergy. There is greater
power when you combine all three of these steps into one.
Before we start, be thinking about what you would like to have, do,
or be. Because it all begins with an intention. Intentions rule the Earth.
Intentions are the fire that motivate you and propel you down the road.
You need to know what you want. If you don’t know what you want,
ask yourself, “What don’t I want?” and reverse it. I wrote about this in my
book The Attractor Factor.
It helps to know what you don’t want. Then, you can turn what you
don’t want around and into what you do want.
If you could have anything, be anything, or do anything, what would
you like? Be honest with yourself.
Sometimes people tell me that they don’t really know what they want.
To that I’d say, “You’re lying. You know what you want. You’re afraid to

admit it.
“You’re afraid to admit it because then you have to either take action
and do something to make it happen, or you’ve got to make excuses for
why you’re not going for it, or why it isn’t happening already.”
Be ruthlessly honest with yourself. What do you want? Knowing that
is really important before we begin. Everything stems from that. What do
you want?
If you won the lottery, and you had millions of dollars, what would you
do? How would you live your life? Yes, you’re going to go on a spending
spree, but after that, how will you serve yourself? How will you serve
humanity?
When people go into my various programs, like my Miracles Coaching
Program or my Zero Limits Mastery Program, or when they attend
Masterminds with me, we always come back to, “What do you want?” It
begins with that.
That’s what I want you to be thinking as you start this book. What do
you want?

CHAPTER 1
VISUALIZATION

THE POWER OF VISUALIZATION
There are three steps to applying the three-day rule: the scientific
approach to attracting what you want. Before we dive into the first step—
visualization—it will help you to understand how your mind works.
The Reticular Activating System
You have what’s called a “reticular activating system” in your brain at
the base of the skull on top of the spine.
The reticular activating system is programmed for survival by birth, by
default. You know it’s working because you’re reading this; you’re obviously
surviving. Mine’s working. I’m here with you. We’re surviving.
However, most people don’t know that they can use the reticular
activating system for more. You can program it for what you want, and
that’s what’s so powerful about this first step: you will use visualization to
program the reticular activating system to bring you your intention.
How It Works
Your brain, the reticular activating system, your subconscious, and
your unconscious mind all respond to imagery, graphics, and visuals.

So, the very first thing you want to do is have a visual representation of
the thing you want to have, do, or be. A great tool for this is a vision board.
A vision board is a big poster board where you cut out magazine photos
of the items you want—whether it’s a house, or a car, or a certain look, or
clothes, or whatever it happens to be—and paste it or tape it on the board.
I have a vision board in my bedroom right now. There are places I want
to go to, a jet that I want to own, a certain car, and different experiences I
want to have. It all goes on the vision board.
Now, because of the internet and all the apps and software we have,
you can make vision boards right on your phone or your computer.
Whatever way you choose to do it, you want to create this vision board
because it is a way to communicate to and engage the reticular activating
system.
Visualize What You Want, Not What You Fear
Sometimes people will say, “I don’t know how to visualize. I can’t
visualize.” Some people will even say, “This stuff doesn’t work for me.”
I remember a friend overseas who asked me, “Do you ever worry?”
Ask yourself, “Do you ever worry?” Well, everybody worries, including
me from time to time.
When you worry, you are using these very principles to program your
mind for negativity. With worry, you program your mind for what you
don’t want.
When you worry, you are very often visualizing things going bad. Well,
there’s evidence right there that you’re visualizing.
When you are worried about the economy, your job, the future, a
relationship, or your health, very often what you’re doing is playing out in
your head a visual movie of things not working out.
I want you to interrupt that and stop it. You want to take control and
become conscious of this whole scientific system.
You want to be conscious of how your brain works, and then lead it,
much like you would a little puppy, to do what you want.
You are not your brain. You are in charge of your brain. You are separate
from it. So lead it where you want to go.

The Power of Taking Action
So, what I’m asking you to do in this first step of the formula, is to
visually imagine what you want to have, do, or be, and go create visual
representations, photos, and graphics of it.
You can even hire an artist. You can go to [Link] and pay somebody
five dollars to create a visual representation of a house, or a car, or whatever
it is that you want, and what it might look like.
You can spend time going to bookstores or going online. Use Google
and let it do the searching for you. I know some people will want to attract
a new car. I say, “Go pick the car you want!”
There are apps on car dealership websites where you can build the car
you want, with all the features and colors you want.
When you’re done designing what you want, print it out. Take that
printout, and put it on the wall, and then look at it as many times a day
and night as you can.
Instead of worrying about the future, you are creating your future with
intent.
The Power of Intention
Let’s back up. In the beginning, I asked you to state your intention.
What do you want to have, do, or be? Anything goes.
There are no limits. None. If you think there are any limits, you’ve got
to erase that right now because you don’t want any limiting beliefs. I teach
that anything is possible.
I have a book called Anything Is Possible. I wear a T-shirt that says,
“Expect Miracles,” because I’m coming from the mindset that I don’t think
anything’s impossible. I don’t know that we have any limits at all except the
ones we invent in our heads.
Now in this first step, you want to find or create a visual representation
of the end result. Don’t say you can’t do it.
Get somebody to help you. Find an artist or a graphic designer. Go to
somebody.
Find a way to create your goals, so that when you look at that graphic, that
image, that photograph, you communicate in a positive way what you want.

Another tip is to put yourself in it. Draw yourself in it. Years ago, I told
a friend of mine about a car I wanted. My friend took that car image and
added me to it. He “Photoshopped” me beside the car, and then sent it to
me. So, I had the car with me in it to visualize and say, This is going to be
mine.
Do whatever you can to create that visual representation. You know
you can visualize because you’ve been worried before. And now you know
how to create a vision board so you can do it in a positive direction.
You’ve probably heard about visualization and mental imagery from
other sources and read about it in other books. It’s the first of these three
important steps in the formula for creating what you want in this scientific
way.
Remember, this is how your brain works. Your subconscious mind
is responding to images. It’s not just what you think; it’s what you are
imagining.
You want to program that reticular activating system with a specific,
intentionally chosen desire, and with the visual representation of it. You’ve
got to put it on the wall, on your dashboard, on your computer, on your
refrigerator, or somewhere that you will see it frequently.
It is highly important post and look at your images often because your
mind will respond to the images you are sending it. That’s your assignment.
Go pick or create the visual representation of your intention now.
VISUALIZATION SUMMARY
The first step to getting what you want is to focus the power of your
brain on visualizing what you want. You visualize all the time, and you
bring about what you visualize, so make sure you are concentrating on
what you want. The most effective way to do this is with a vision board—a
poster full of the images of everything you want in life. Look at it every
day, keep your intentions trained on it, and be mindful of when you are
visualizing what you don’t want.

EMOTION

ADD EMOTION
This book is The 3-Day Rule. I wrote about the first step, which is
creating a visual representation of what you want. I explained how your
brain works: the reticular activating system in your mind is responding to
the images you are sending it.
Very often, we come from victimhood and imagine the worst. That’s
when we start worrying or go into fear. We want to interrupt that; we want
to stop that. This process is all about creating your reality the way you want
it.
So, The 3-Day Rule and the scientific approach to creating what you
want involves programming the reticular activating system.
The very first step is creating the visual representation of what you
want. We covered that in the first chapter. Hopefully, you’ve gone out there
and found images, created a vision board, and now you’ve got the visual.
Use Emotion to Visualize
What’s step two? You’ve got to fuel it. You’ve got to put some gasoline
on the fire and make your desire burn with enthusiasm.

A friend of mine in Thailand, Andres Pira, was homeless fifteen years
ago. He had nothing. Then he was given a copy of the book The Secret.
He was upset at first, because he was starving and homeless, what was a
book going to do? But he used the principles in the book to make himself
successful.
Today, at thirty-six years old, he is a billionaire. He is one of the largest
real estate developers in Thailand. He and I wrote a book about his journey
called, Homeless to Billionaire: 18 Principles for Attracting Wealth. Andres
says in the book what he told me in person, “You can’t create without
emotion.”
What does that mean? Most people, when they worry and go into
fear, are using a negative but powerful emotion to fuel the very thing they
don’t want. What I’ve learned is that you manifest faster when you use the
emotions of love, hate, or fear. Why?
They are fiery emotions; they are emotions you feel with intensity.
They’re not soft, subtle emotions. Love, hate, and fear are almost
overwhelming.
You want to be aware that if you’re worried, if you’re falling into fear
in some way, you’re actually going to create more of what you’re afraid of,
what you’re worried about, or what you hate. You create more of the very
thing you are intensely concerned about.
That’s why when you get involved in hateful discussions, and keep
fueling it, you attract more of it. You want to interrupt it; you want to stop
it. What you want to do instead is focus on what you love.
When I asked you to state an intention (what you want to have, do,
or be), you selected something. Then when I asked you to create a visual
representation of it, hopefully you made something.
The Power of Passion and Love
Now, in this second step, you need to add the emotion of love to the
very thing you say you want to have, do, or be.
You need to add passion and love, so that you can use them as an
attractor field to pull into yourself the very thing you say you want. So,
when you are visualizing what you want in your mind, or looking at your

vision board, you want to be viewing it with love.
Let me give you another tip. This is also from Andres Pira. He’s very
much a family man, and he thinks about how much he loves them.
As he’s thinking about how much he loves his family, he gets this whole
feeling of love going through his body and mind. He’s not in fear; he’s not
in hate; he’s in love. As he’s feeling this love, he pauses and starts to feel it
towards what he wants.
He’s a real estate developer, so he’s thinking about his next deal, and he’s
visualizing that it’s going through. He’s signing the contract; he’s getting
the big check and he’s applying the feeling of love that he has for his family
to the thing that he wants to attract. It is infused with the attractor field
of love.
This is what I want you to do in this next step. Remember, you are
already manifesting in your life, but you’ve been manifesting unconsciously.
What you want to do instead is start to manifest with intent, with conscious
awareness.
I really think life is about awakening. I have a course called The Awakening
Course, and the people in my Miracles Coaching Program, the people in Zero
Limits Mastery, the people who are flying in for Masterminds with me, we
all talk about awakening with different ways of releasing limiting beliefs and
moving into the miracle of now. Then out of the miracle of now, we are creating
the life we want.
This is what I’m asking you to do. Remember, you’re programming
your reticular activating system, and your reticular activating system is
responding.
It first responds to graphics—the visual. You’ve already created a visual
of what you want. The second thing is emotion. Your reticular activating
system actually fires up; it’s like you’ve hit the ignition when you feel an
emotion.
For too many of us, the emotion fear or hate. Forget that—what do
you want to have, do, or be? Fall in love with your goal, with your intent.
Feel that love within you, so that every time you look at your visual
representation, your heart flutters a little bit, because there’s some passion
there, some excitement, and some love. That’s the feeling you want to have.

Complete Your Visual
Here’s another pointer. If you’re looking at your graphic and you don’t
feel love, then there’s something missing.
Ask yourself what you can add to—or maybe even take away from—
your visual representation so it really makes you sing, makes you happier,
brings up your energy, and makes the vibrations in your body go up.
What can you add to it to make it complete? I’ve learned from people
who are in my coaching or mentoring programs that very often, they were
missing something.
They were thinking that they wanted to write a book, and maybe they
were visualizing the book there, but they were not visualizing that it was a
New York Times Best Seller. I say, “Well, add that. You can have, do, or be
anything. Write ‘best seller’ across it.”
When Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen were originally creating
their Chicken Soup for the Soul book series, they weren’t well known at all
at the time. They wrote the title Chicken Soup for the Soul on paper and
pasted it under a newsprint that said New York Times Best Seller.
They put that on their vision board on the wall. They visualized that
book becoming a New York Times Best Seller before it was published. As a
result, of course, it’s been a New York Times Best Seller, and they have an
empire of Chicken Soup books at this point. It began with an image that
was complete.
So, make sure your image is complete. Make sure it speeds up your
heart a little bit, that you have love for it, and direct that love to that image.
Those are the two first steps in programming the reticular activating
system to engage, to help you attract what you want in three days or less.
That concludes the second step—adding emotion. I want you to look
at your intention and feel love. If you can feel love by conjuring up the past
(love for somebody else, for a pet, or for a hobby), and then transfer that
love by aiming that love towards what you want, you will be adding fuel
to the fire.
When you add the fuel of enthusiasm and passion to your visual, you
will tell the reticular activating system, “Engage, engage, engage! I want
this.” Do it and expect miracles.

EMOTION SUMMARY
The second step to getting what you want is to harness the power of
positive emotion. When you’re visualizing what you want, the fuel that
sparks its creation is emotion. You must learn to generate all the feelings that
your visualization will give you, as if it’s already real. When you’re holding
the images of your intentions, and you need assistance with generating
the emotions of how good and abundant you will feel, conjure the images
in your mind of someone who you truly love. It can be family member,
a friend, a romantic partner, a baby, or your inner child. Then direct that
feeling of love into the visualization of what you want to manifest. This
combination of mind and heart focus creates the vibrational energy to
attract it to you.

REPETITION

REPETITION
Before we wrap up the three steps of The 3-Day Rule, the scientific
approach to attracting what you want, let’s review. The very first thing I
wrote about was stating your intention.
The first step of manifesting that intention is creating the graphic, the
visual representation of the completion of that intention.
The second step is creating and feeling love for your intention because
love, hate, and fear are powerful magnetic attractors. You want to use love
in a positive way to attract what you want.
All of this is to program your reticular activating system, so it will go
on alert to help you manifest. It will see a track, seize opportunities, and
get what you want even faster.
You’re getting your whole scientific system, your biomechanical system
to make this happen for you. In essence, you’re programming your mind
for success.
Make Manifesting a Habit
What’s the third step? Repetition, repetition. Your reticular activating
system, your subconscious mind, needs to be reminded of what you want
until it takes anchor and it actually becomes part of your programming.

At first, it’s like creating a new habit that you’ve got to remind yourself
of. Like when you join the gym, you have to remind yourself, Oh, I joined
the gym; I’ve got to go back and workout. It’s the same thing with the reticular
activating system.
You already have the visual representation and the emotion of love
towards it; now you need to remind yourself of that as many times as
possible.
What a lot of people do is put their vision board up where they can see
it. They put it on their bathroom mirror, refrigerator, dashboard, or their
computer. I say make little notes and put them everywhere.
My friend, Andres Pira, author of Homeless to Billionaire, puts yellow
stickies all over the place. He writes reminders about his goals and intentions
in ink on his hand. Do whatever you can to remind yourself that this is
what you want to have, do, or be.
This is important. Science says that generally it takes thirty days to
create a new habit, or in other words make the habit second nature. I have
seen that recent research is proving that it takes sixty to ninety days.
So if you have stated a goal for yourself and you say, “I want to have,
do, or be this,” in order to really anchor it into your system and into your
mind, and make it a new program in your reticular activating system,
it may take thirty, sixty, or ninety days. This means morning, evening,
throughout the day, or if you wake up in the middle of the night, remind
yourself of your intention.
See it, feel it, and repeat it. The more you do it, the more you hardwire
it into your brain. So, in thirty, sixty, or ninety days, you’ll feel a whole new
experience.
You Create Your Own Limitations
Now, I know this book is called The 3-Day Rule, and The 3-Day Rule
is saying, you’re generally going to attract what you want in three days. So
why don’t you attract that goal in three days?
First, you keep changing your mind. You say, “Oh, I want to have this,”
and before you even finish the sentence, you say, “well, no, I really want
something else.” A shiny object has distracted you and you’ve gone off in

the distance.
You may also have the thought, that would be cool to have and maybe
have a visual of yourself with it, but then you erase it or cancel it by having
the thought of, well, it’s not going to work for me. This stuff works for Dr.
Joe and everybody else; it works for the people in his coaching programs, but it
won’t work for me.
That’s a limiting belief. It’s those kinds of thoughts that will delay the
attraction of what you want, and this is why it often takes longer than three
days to manifest what you want. You are the one slowing down the whole
process.
Scientific research has been proving that you have about 70,000 to
90,000 thoughts a day. Imagine that! Guess what? Most of them are
negative repetitions of previous thoughts.
Most of them are about worry, or fear, or replaying old negative
memories and resentments and grief. No wonder you have so much trouble
manifesting what you want because within minutes, if not seconds, you
interrupt your whole manifestation process.
So that’s why it very often takes longer than three days to manifest
what you want, but The 3-Day Rule is real.
When you choose what you want, that’s the intention, and you have
the graphic representation of it, that is the first step. Then you add the
emotions of love and passion to it and you repeat that, hardwiring your
brain.
If you can maintain that focus, energy, and enthusiasm and keep
repeating it, you will manifest it faster than ever before.
Maybe it’ll take a little longer than three days, depending on what you
want to manifest, but you know that you live in a belief-driven universe,
that anything is possible, and the only restraints are the ones in your brain.
So, why can’t you do it in three days or even less?
Change Your Beliefs, Change Your Reality
Seems to me the only reason you wouldn’t do it in three days is that you
don’t believe it. A lot of my work is about the nature of beliefs.
I have said repeatedly, change your beliefs and you get a different reality.

How do you change your beliefs?
I have entire courses and books on that—my Miracles Coaching
program, Zero Limits Mastery, Masterminds with me, and lots of other
books, audios, and programs can help you.
One of my audio programs, just to give you a resource, is called “The
Missing Secret.” It is focused on getting clear of these limiting beliefs,
because it’s the limiting beliefs that stall you.
All of this is to say that you can program your mind. You can have,
do, or be what you want. You need to do these three steps: create graphics,
the visual representation; fuel it with the energy of emotion like love; and
repeat, reminding yourself of it every day.
These are the three steps to creating what you want scientifically; the
three ways that you program your mind, your reticular activating system,
and your subconscious mind to attract what you want. This is how you
manifest what you want in three days or less.
I want you to go through and do all of these things and apply it. Notice
when you’re not applying it, because whenever your mind has drifted off,
you just slowed down the manifestation of your dream.
That’s not a bad thing, it’s just good to have that awareness. Be aware
that you slowed it down because of a negative thought. The more you can
keep self-correcting and focusing on what you want, the faster you’ll pull
it to you.
Be sure you are applying all of this. You can live the life of magic and
miracles. It’s all available.
REPETITION SUMMARY
In order for your intentions to become part of your programming,
your reticular activating system requires
regular reminders of what you want. The more you say it, see it, and
feel it, the more you hardwire it into your brain. Changing your mind or
indulging limiting beliefs will cause a delay in manifesting your intentions.
In order to have success, you need to maintain your focus and enthusiasm

by repeating your intention. Maintain awareness of your thoughts and
whether they are supportive or negative towards your intentions, and make
sure you course correct when you identify the negative thoughts that will
slow down the manifesting process.

You now have the three steps for The 3-Day Rule, a scientific approach
to attracting what you want. All you have to do is apply those three steps.
After you know what you want and intend it, you create the visual
representation for it. Then add emotion to it and repeat. Repeat looking
at it and feeling it. You will program your mind to help you see the
opportunities and connections to actually attract what you want. That’s
where miracles are happening.
Synchronicities will happen because your brain has gone on alert. It’s
going to be helping you manifest what you want, because you programmed
your brain with this scientific approach.
Now, I want to teach you how to accelerate your attraction. I’m going
to give you five rules, five ways to attract your goals faster, and make this
easier for you.
I’m assuming you already know the basics of the law of attraction. The
law of attraction fundamentally says that you’re going to achieve whatever

you focus on.
The deeper understanding is that you achieve what your subconscious
mind believes and expects. So, most of the work needs to be done below
the conscious level. A lot of what I teach is about working with the
subconscious, dealing with what I call “the missing secret to success.”
I have other courses, books, and certification programs, all of which
explain the basics of the law of attraction. If you don’t know the basics, go

What I want to do in this book is have a one-on-one with you, to
mentor you in these five rules for accelerating the results that you want to
get, because I know you have some goals that seem to be eluding you.
You have some intentions that you haven’t achieved yet and maybe
you’re a little frustrated. Maybe you’re doing just fine, but you’d like to
learn more. You want to find out, “How do I speed this up? How do you
accelerate this?”
Well, I believe in acceleration and getting results quickly. So, in the
next several chapters, I want to teach you the shortcuts and the hacks to
getting what you want faster.

CHAPTER 5
RULE 1—USE THE
LANGUAGE OF INTENTION

RULE 1—USE THE LANGUAGE OF
INTENTION
The first rule is about your language.
When most people practice the law of attraction, what they say is, “I
intend to have more money,” or, “I intend to have a relationship,” or, “I
want to have my business boom,” or, “I want to achieve perfect health.”
They speak in terms of “I intend,” or “I want.”
Now, for the beginners, that’s fine. You have to start somewhere. When
people first learn the law of attraction, beginning with those statements is
really powerful because it’s better than being a victim.
Most people just say it is what it is and they give up. They don’t have
any intentions or goals at all, or they just feel like a victim and they don’t
try.
I teach that it is what you accept. What that means is you have power—
more power than you ever thought before. You’re not a victim. You can
now be empowered, which is the second stage of awakening.
I have a book called The Awakening Course and have just released The
New Awakening Course in which I talk about the four stages of awakening.
In the first stage, that’s where most people are victims.

FROM “I WANT” TO “I AM”
The second stage of awakening is where people become empowered. I
want you to be there because it’s a far better place—it’s where you choose
what you want and then go for it, attract it, and achieve it.
When most people come into this empowerment stage, they first hear
language like “I want to have this,” or “I intend to have that.” Again, that’s
powerful, but there’s a way to accelerate your attraction by changing your
language to “I am” statements.
The most powerful statements are:
“I am wealthy.”
“I am in a romantic relationship.”
“I am a successful businessman.”
“I am healthy, fit, and doing fantastic.”
When you say, “I want something,” it implies a lack of it. There’s some
power there, but you’re also saying, “I don’t have it.”
The subconscious mind is hearing the “I don’t have it.” From a law
of attraction standpoint, it finds a match for that, meaning that you end
up without the very thing you say you want to have—you are in a state of
wanting it, not owning it.
The same thing goes with intentions. Intentions are powerful. They rule
the earth. I also say that inspiration is better than intention and intentions
are for wimps. If you don’t understand this bigger concept of the third stage of
awakening, I talk about it in The New Awakening Course.
What I want you to understand here is that when you start saying
things in terms of “I am,” you start feeling as if it’s already real. You start
assuming that this is happening now. That is why it’s important. Your
subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between what is imagined and
what is actually real, so you can trick your own mind.
You can bypass your own filters and doubts by stating what you want as
if you already have it. I own that fantastic car that I had been longing for. I am
independently wealthy. I am in that romantic relationship, or that dream house.
You say this and believe it as you say it because now you are telling your
unconscious bio-mechanism, your whole system, that this is real, and this

is what you want.
Your subconscious can’t tell the difference, so it will assume it is reality
and go about manifesting it for you faster than ever before. Do you get a
sense of how powerful this is?
So, the first rule is about your language. Instead of saying, “I long to do
something,” or “I intend to do it,” or “I want this,” or something similar
(which are still good), the better approach is to say “I am.” Whatever you
say after “I am” becomes a new reality.
The Great Something
I know when you first say it, you’re going to think, well, I’m lying to
myself. I am not wealthy yet, or that you don’t have whatever it is that you’re
trying to get. That’s the point. What you’re doing is a kind of self-hypnosis.
You’re saying, “I am ____,” fill in the blank with whatever you want,
and then your mind goes about creating it for you. Slowly at first, you will
be led to opportunities, places, and people that help you achieve your goals
faster than ever before.
What you want to do is say, “I am ____,” and fill in the blank with
whatever it is that you want to have, do, or be. When you say, “I am ____,”
be alert to how you feel. You should feel more energized and be more
optimistic. It should be a gung-ho, let’s do this, kind of a feeling.
Then pay attention to the opportunities that come your way because
those will be chances for you to seize the moment. They will be clues,
choices, and opportunities that come from what I’ve ended up calling The
Great Something—The Great Mystery of Life.
You can call it God. You can call it The Divine. You can call it The
Universe. You can call it Gaia. You can call it a Higher Power.
I call it The Great Something because nobody really agrees on what
that power is, but you are part of that power. When you start saying “I am,”
you move in the direction of creating it and The Great Something helps
make it happen.
So, the very first rule of the five for accelerating your attraction is to
change your language. It’s no longer “I want,” or “I intend.” Now, it is “I
am.” “I am ____;” fill in what it is that you want to have, do, or be.

USE THE LANGUAGE OF INTENTION
SUMMARY
The most powerful language of intention is “I am.” “I am wealthy,” for
example is a more powerful statement for attracting than “I intend to be
wealthy,” because the latter phrase implied the lack of wealth. When you
state your intentions with “I am,” and believe it as you say it, you not only
command The Universe more assumptively, but also encourage the right
feeling state to go with the intention. You feel as if you already are or have
what you want to manifest. You are not lying to yourself; you are using
self-hypnosis to program your belief so that reality can match your belief.

RULE 2—NEVILLIZE

RULE 2—NEVILLIZE
The second rule in our five rules for accelerating your attraction is
something I call Nevillizing. Nevillizing is a coined word, and a nod to
Neville Goddard, who was a mystical author.
Most people know Neville Goddard as simply, “Neville.” He wrote
books in the 1940s, ‘50s, and ‘60s. His books have become extremely
popular and are well worth reading.
I’ve written about Neville many times, such as in my books The Attractor
Factor and The Miracle. I also republished Neville’s very first book, At Your
Command.
I even recorded a song with Grammy-nominated singer Ruthie Foster
called “Feel It Real.” The whole point of it was for you to pretend that what
you want to have, do, or be has already occurred.
Imagine It’s Yours Now
When most people learn how to be empowered and start to manifest
things, they visualize what they want off in the distance. That’s fine; that
works. Neville taught a different way of manifesting.

Neville said, “You can have what you want as long as you imagined
it already fulfilled.” One of his quotes, that he wrote by his signature in a
book I have signed by him is, “Imagine the feeling of the wish fulfilled.”
What does that mean? If you set an intention, Neville would say, “Now
imagine you already have it.” Assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled.
There’s something that you want to have, do, or be.
Instead of imagining you’ll get it one day, imagine it happened today.
If you want to be independently wealthy, instead of imagining it off in the
distance, pretend you’re independently wealthy now.
How would it feel to be independently wealthy now? What would you
think? How would you speak? What would you do differently?
Get into that feeling in your body and mind. Feel it. Feel a sensation
that is so real that it’s almost as if it actually did happen. That is feeling it
real.
Feel it Real, Make it Real
Much like with the first rule, it’s a way of tricking your mind. Since
your subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between the real and the
imagined, you know that if you really start to feel and imagine that what
you want already happened, you’re sending a signal to your mind to catch
up with that reality.
You’re telling your mind, “this is what I want, mold life to make it real.”
In other words, instead of saying, “I want to have, do, or be something,”
and talking about it like it’s going to happen in two months or six months
or three years down the road, you feel it real now.
Let’s just make up something. Say you’ve been wanting a book deal.
You want to be an author, and you’re looking for your book deal, and
visualizing it. The first rule would tell you to say, “I am a successful,
published author.” Right there. That’s the first rule—“I am…” Assume it.
The second rule is to feel it real. Pretend you got the book deal yesterday
and you’ve been calling people, emailing people, and posting Facebook
messages all day, saying, “I got this great book deal!” What would you say?
Who would you talk to? How would you feel?
At the core, this is so easy and so fun. Whatever it is you want, what

you do in the second rule is assume you already have it. You feel it real.
Feeling is what’s really important here. I’ve talked about this a lot
because your mind responds to imagery, emotion, and repetition.
What are you doing here? Well, from Neville’s standpoint, as a mystic,
he’s talking about an esoteric way of creating your reality.
From a brain science standpoint, you are actually convincing your
reticular activating system in your subconscious mind that this is real.
Your Imagination Becomes Reality
Something most people don’t know is your brain can’t tell the difference
between imagination and reality.
I know it sounds crazy, but think about when you’re dreaming at night.
Maybe it’s a scary dream and you wake up shaking, sweating, and scared.
That wasn’t real. It was a dream, but your brain responded as if it was real.
Science proves mental imagery and visualization does work. You’re
programming your mind to bring you what you want. They even train
athletes do this. It’s a very powerful technique.
What Neville taught was if you can imagine that it already happened
and you feel as if it took place today or even yesterday, you will embody the
fulfillment of what you want, and manifest it faster.
Let’s use another example like a new car. Instead of longing for it or
visualizing it in the future, Nevillizing means you have it now. The car is
in your driveway. You have the keys in your desk drawer or in your pocket.
What would it feel like if you went for a drive in it this morning, or
if you were about to go for a drive in it now? You own it. So instead of
having this desire pushed off into the distance and your longing off into
the future, you feel it real.
Neville would say, “When you go to sleep at night, you’re lying in bed
and you’re starting to relax, and your mind is getting a little drifty, that is
the point where you want to visualize with feeling that your wish came true
today.”
What does it feel like to know that your intention came to pass?
You wanted more money? It came. You wanted the job? You got it. You
wanted your book to be a best seller? It happened. You wanted to meet

your soulmate? You’re lying in bed with him or her. It’s happened. You
want to embody the completion of your intention to the extent that it is so
real, it feels like it happened.
So, you Nevillize the end result of what you want and trick your
reticular activating system into believing Oh, this is already real. Then it
goes about making your reality congruent so it has integrity.
Your brain wants to create the reality of your intention because you’re
already manifesting it in your imagination.
Neville said imagination is God. Imagination is how you create
everything in life and in reality.
Use it as a meditation. Just imagine your intention came true. What
does it feel like to have your intention? Do you know? It’s already here. It’s
done. No longing, no working, and no wanting. It is manifested. What
does that feel like?
Do that now. Do that tonight. Do that as many times as you like.
Sometimes people will ask, “How many times should I Nevillize?” Do it
as many times as it’s fun to do, because it’s easy and effortless. It is a joyful
process. Why not do it? As long as it’s fun, keep doing it.
Meanwhile, Godspeed to you. Keep moving forward. Anything is
possible. And always expect miracles. I believe in you.
FEEL IT REAL SUMMARY
Nevillizing is a powerful tool to quickly manifest your intention.
Neville was a mystic who wrote about how to be the creator of your reality.
Nevillizing means taking time to imagine what you want to manifest,
feeling as if it already happened. It is the process of imagining the experience
with the feeling of the wish fulfilled, rather than the longing for it, which
generates a feeling of separation from or lack of it. Spend as much time in
this joyful process as you can.

RULE 3—GET CLEAR

RULE 3—GET CLEAR
The third rule of accelerated attraction to manifest even faster than
ever before is something I call getting clear.
To me, getting clear is phenomenal. This is the missing secret to having
everything you want. It is the missing secret to all self-help programs, all
self-improvement programs, and all personal development programs.
This is something really important to me, because getting clear means
getting rid of your limiting beliefs.
Because I work with a lot of people who want money, I wrote the
book, Attract Money Now (which you can download for free at www.
[Link]).
People are surprised to realize that though they may have good
intentions about having more money, they also have counterintentions.
These counterintentions are things like:
“I’m not good enough.”
“All these techniques work for other people; they don’t work for me.”
“Money is the root of all evil.”
“Money corrupts.”

“Money is bad.”
“Only rich people have money and rich people are doing illegal things or
unethical things.”
Those are limiting beliefs. Those aren’t facts. As long as you have these
counterintentions in your mind, you will slow down—if not stop—your
whole process to attracting what you want.
Getting clear is fundamental to getting what you want. So how do you
get clear?
I have lots of processes. I’ve written books like The Key, which has ten
processes for getting clear. There are many ways to do it, but I want to
make sure that I give you my favorite one.
Use Ho’oponopono to Get Clear
If you know my work at all, you know that I have been sharing
Ho’oponopono for over ten years at this point. I’ve written two books on
it. The first one is called Zero Limits. Ten years later, I wrote a book called
At Zero.
Both of those books explain Ho’oponopono, but I’m going to share a
condensed version so you can do it now.
Ho’oponopono is a Hawaiian clearing technique. Basically, you’re saying
four phrases inside yourself to your connection to The Great Something.
The four phrases below are a kind of petition that acknowledges, “I
have limiting beliefs in me and around me.” Whether it’s money, romance,
health, spirituality, or whatever it is, we all have limiting beliefs.
Part of the human experience is to remove them and awaken to our
divine inherent power. You don’t always know what the limiting beliefs are,
but if you’re not getting what you want, you can assume you have limiting
beliefs. So, what do you do?
Four Powerful Truth Phrases
You can say these four phrases:
“I love you.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Please forgive me.”

“Thank you.”
Feel whatever you’re feeling. It could be frustration, sadness, grief, or
anger that you don’t have your goal yet; or anything other than happy.
If you’re not content in the miracle of now and feel something pulling
you away from the now, what you want to do is clear on that feeling.
What is it that you want to have, do, or be? That’s your intention. As
you’re thinking about the intention, what comes up for you?
Are you impatient, feeling embarrassed, like this isn’t going to work, or
you’re not good enough? It could be any number of things.
You may not even know what comes up for you. You just know, I feel a
block. I feel this isn’t working yet. Perfect.
That’s when you speak inside yourself, a kind of prayer, a meditation,
where you’re talking to The Great Something. You say the four phrases,
“I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.” You say it inside
yourself.
You don’t have to say it out loud. You don’t have to write it out. It’s a
dialogue you have with The Great Something.
As you say it inside yourself, you really feel it. Feel I’m sorry; feel please
forgive me; feel thank you; feel I love you. You can say the statements in any
order.
What you’re saying with these four statements is along the lines of…
“I’m sorry for having these beliefs. I don’t know where they came from.
I’m sorry that they’re in my database.
“Please forgive me. Please forgive my parents. Please forgive my
ancestors. Please forgive wherever these beliefs came from.
“Thank you for removing the beliefs. Thank you for clearing me of
these beliefs.
“I love you for my life. I love you for this clearing. I love you for this
process. I love you.”
Those four statements are incredibly powerful. They will help you
accelerate what you want to have, do, or be by removing the limiting beliefs
that you may not even know are there.

The Power of Getting Clear
I assure you this is incredibly powerful. When I first heard of
Ho’oponopono, I learned the story of a therapist who helped heal an entire
ward of mentally ill criminals; not by working directly with them, but with
his perceptions of them. He cleaned up his perceptions using these four
phrases—and they got better!
I urge you to read the book Zero Limits and the follow-up book, At
Zero. Do a little research, look at my videos about Ho’oponopono that are
on YouTube. Get a better understanding of this because one of the best
ways to get clear is with this ancient Hawaiian healing method.
Coaching to Clarity
I also believe that having a coach or mentor can speed up the clearing
process because most of us don’t know what we believe. We live out of our
beliefs so it’s very difficult to know what our beliefs are. Our beliefs look
like life. They look like reality.
Change your beliefs and you get a different reality. We live in a kind of
an optical illusion. What you see on the outside is actually a reflection of
you and your beliefs.
When you change your belief, you get a different outer world. So,
Ho’oponopono isn’t about changing other people, it’s about changing
you. It’s about changing your beliefs, about your perceptions, about your
mindset.
Again, this rule is about getting clear. You can do Ho’oponopono,
which is as simple as saying, I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me, and thank
you. Or you can get a coach or mentor to guide you. (I have coaching and
mentoring programs, so reach out if you need to.)

GET CLEAR SUMMARY
The third rule is the missing secret to the law of attraction—get clear
of your counterintentions, or the limiting beliefs that run counter to your
conscious intentions. Limiting beliefs will slow down or prevent your
ability to manifest your intention. One method for getting clear of them is
Ho’oponopono. When you focus on your intention, pay attention to any
blocks that come up, and use the four phrases, “I love you. I’m sorry. Please
forgive me. Thank you” to clear them. You should also consider hiring a
personal coach to give you perspective on what limiting beliefs may need
to be cleared.

RULE 4—TAKE INSPIRED
ACTION
“Manifesting what you want is a co-creation process. You have to take
inspired action and do your bit, and trust that The Universe will kick
in and do its part. Manifestation is a joint effort.”

RULE 4—TAKE INSPIRED ACTION
Rule 4 is about inspired action. This is so important. The number one
thing I see people doing wrong when it comes to manifesting their reality
or accelerating their attraction is they don’t act.
They wait for everything to happen. One of the criticisms of the movie,
The Secret, is that it gave you the impression that all you had to do was sit
in a chair and visualize what you wanted. Then the doorbell would ring.
You would go to the door and there would be your bike, car, romance,
money, or whatever you wanted.
That’s not typically how it works. It can work like that. I believe in
magic and miracles and that sudden Divine inspiration can take place. The
doorbell might ring, or the phone might go off, and there you go; there’s
your answer. But in my experience, life is a co-creation.
When Opportunity Comes, Act
You have your part to do. The Universe, The Great Something, has its

part to do. When you state your intention and you go through all these
other steps, Rule 4 is a reminder to act on the ideas that you receive.
Act on the opportunities that you come across; act on whatever feels
like an intuitive gut level nudge to do something.
There have been many stories of successful businesspeople who say
they can’t give you a roadmap to success because they didn’t have one and
there isn’t one. You just keep doing one thing after the other and you end
up with the fulfillment of your dreams.
Some people sit there and say, “Well, I don’t even know what the first
action is because there are so many things that I could do and so many
things that need to be done to create this colossal intention, or this goal
that I want to manifest in my life.”
They just sit frozen. You don’t have to sit frozen. What I tell people to
do, and this is one of the steps in a book I wrote called Anything Is Possible,
is start where your shoes are.
A Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Step
Start where your shoes are. In other words, begin with whatever the
first, obvious, baby step happens to be. If you’re reading this and suddenly
you get the idea, Oh, I should read one of Joe’s books, take it as a sign. Go to
the library, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or wherever.
Get the book that you feel compelled to get no matter the author. There
are a lot of great books out there: how-tos, success literature, inspiration,
and motivation.
If you get the desire to attend an event, go. You don’t know what step
is going to lead to the next step, and to the next step, and to the creation of
your dream, but you have to take those baby steps.
You don’t have to go out there and get a loan for a million dollars
because you think that’s what you need to create this giant idea that you
want to bring into being. You don’t need to do that first. What you need to
do is whatever is obvious to do.
That baby step could simply mean going online and getting the domain
name for your service. It could mean if you’re going to write something,
to write down the title, open up a document, and start the first sentence,

paragraph, or page.
You start someplace because here’s what’s happening: when you take
the baby step, the step after it becomes apparent, and you can make the
whole journey one little step at a time.
Inspired action is the fourth rule to remind you that you have to do
something. I have written seventy-eight books, recorded fifteen albums,
and created countless courses. How is that possible? I get an idea, I act on
the idea, and then I go on to the next idea.
The process just keeps evolving and then at some point, I’m in my
mid-sixties (now about to turn sixty-five as I write this), and I can look
back on a career that has been very prolific and very productive. But if I
had written my first book and said, “Okay, I’ve got to write 77 more,” I
would have been paralyzed.
I wouldn’t know where to begin. I wouldn’t know what the books titles
were. I wouldn’t know where the ideas were. I wouldn’t be able to get from
there to here.
By writing the first book and then paying attention to what was next,
the next book showed up. Another idea comes and another step comes. I
have to take action.
I may have had seventy-eight book ideas, but if I didn’t sit down and
start typing, I wouldn’t be able to tell you about those books. You wouldn’t
be able to find those books. You wouldn’t see me listed on Amazon or find
my music on iTunes or CD Baby had I not actually taken action.
Take Action, Get Results
You must take action. I challenge you: every day you should do about
five to ten things in the direction of your intention. Now again, right now
you don’t know what those five or ten things are, but every day you can
make a little list of your guesses. They could be as simple as, I should call
old so and so, who I haven’t talked to in fifteen years.
You may not know why, but if that showed up as an intuitive impulse,
if that showed up as your inspired action, take the action.
That call could lead to a breakthrough. It could also lead to nothing.
Maybe you just get reacquainted with an old friend. I think something will

come of it that’ll give you another step.
Then take that step. Elmore Leonard, the novelist, said something
I’ll paraphrase, “You can drive your car at night all the way across the
United States if you turn your headlights on, because all the headlights
do is light up the next hundred feet. It doesn’t light up the entire United
States. It only lights up a little bit of your path. You drive that little bit of
the path and the headlights expose the next part. You drive a little bit of
that, headlights expose the next, and light keeps coming and you can make
the whole journey that way.” That’s inspired action.
This fourth rule is a reminder: you must take inspired action. You must
get up and do something or sit down and do something, but do something
because life is a co-creation.
When you take action, you will speed up your results. Put all of these
different steps together, and you’ll find that you will race down the road
and manifest things at warp speed.
People marvel at how quickly I get books done or music recorded. The
reason is, I’m using these very steps and rules that I’m teaching you, and
one of the biggest is Rule 4—take inspired action.
TAKE INSPIRED ACTION SUMMARY
The fourth rule is to take inspired action. You won’t manifest your
intention simply by sitting and wishing for it. Once you set your intention,
The Great Something will nudge you about what to do. You don’t have to
know what every step along the way will be to get you to the end, you just
have to take the first step that comes to you. Then the next one will appear.
Thinking that you have to see the whole road to the end will overwhelm
you. You just have to see the immediate road ahead. Once you get to the
next part, you will see what to do then.

• You don’t have to see every step of the way there. Just take the first one.

Step 3: Trust in The Universe that the next step will become clear once
you’ve taken the first.

RULE 5—THIS OR
SOMETHING BETTER
“If you turn it over to The Universe, you will be surprised and dazzled
by what is delivered to you. This is where magic and miracles happen.”

RULE 5—THIS OR SOMETHING BETTER
The final rule in this five-rule formula for accelerated manifestation is
one that most people don’t talk about. This or something better means to
be specific but open-minded about what you want.
In my book The Attractor Factor, I said, “state what you want and
add the phrase, ‘this or something better.’” The reason is when our ego is
involved in our desires, we start to target something that we think is the
thing for us or the person for us, but because that’s coming from our ego,
there’s a very tight limitation there.
We have very small tunnel vision and we can’t see the vast world of
opportunity. So, my encouragement is to be open to something better
coming to you.
Now, I hear from many people who say they want to attract a specific
person. They’ll say, “Oh, there’s this man or woman at work, or there’s this
neighbor, or this … (any number of people they really want to attract).
How do I attract that person?”
Or they’ll say, “I lost my loved one, my spouse—they left. How do I

attract them back?”
Focus on Qualities
Focusing too tightly on specifics is a fundamental mistake when it
comes to attracting what you want because you don’t really want to attract
a specific person. I know it feels like you do, but you want to attract the
qualities that specific person is demonstrating.
So instead of saying, “I want to get Mary Sue,” or “I want to get Sam
Jones” in a specific way, what you do is make a list of the qualities you want
in another person and tell The Great Something, “I want this. I want a
person who has these qualities.”
I remember a friend of mine fifteen years ago who was in a mastermind
group with me, and she said she was ready to start dating. She came in
with an eight-and-a-half by eleven-inch notepad and had thirty different
qualities that she wanted in this person.
She read all those qualities to us: everything from good looking, to fun
to be with and playful, and any number of things, but she did not list a
person. She listed the qualities.
Within a couple months she met the person who ended up being that
match and fulfilled everything on the list. She’s been with that person now
for fifteen years. They’re married, they travel together, and they have a great
life.
Be Open to Something Better
Whether you’re trying to attract a person or something in particular,
allow yourself to be informed by The Great Something of an opportunity
that could be even better than what you are imagining.
I’m not taking away what you’re imagining. I’m asking you to be
more flexible. I want you to keep the qualities of what you’re looking for,
but I want you to be open enough to have The Great Something deliver
something even better.
I remember decades ago I had been homeless and in poverty for a
long time and I was working on attracting a new car. Based on research, I
thought I really wanted a particular Mercedes-Benz.

I had the picture and I focused on it and everything, but I didn’t attract
the Mercedes-Benz. I attracted a Saturn, which was a new car company at
the time.
The Saturn I ended up attracting was easy. It was effortless. I’m even
amazed at how quickly it came to me, and it was a better car for me at that
time than a Mercedes ever could have been.
The Saturn was fantastic. It was a sporty, gold coupe—fast, and
luxurious. It had everything I wanted; it was safe and had all the qualities.
That’s the point. All the qualities that I thought were in the Mercedes
were exactly what I was looking for, and it ended up being a better match
in the Saturn.
I have many cars now. I go through different kinds of processes to
attract them, but the point for you is be open with your specific desire.
You have a specific request that you want to achieve or attract, but
instead of honing in to the exact make, model, person, or name, go for the
qualities.
Go for the feeling, and then embody that feeling so you can imagine
actually having it, being it, owning it, and living it. That is Rule 5.
THIS OR SOMETHING BETTER
SUMMARY
The fifth rule of accelerated attraction is to release any attachment to a
specific result and be open to The Universe sending you “this or something
better.” You have a very limited perspective on who or what is the best
for you. The Universe will often send you the perfect thing to suit your
intention in a different package than you expected, so be open to the reality
that you don’t know what the best thing is. You just know what traits you
want and how you want to feel. Allow for a possibility that looks different
than the one you imagined.

RULES OF ACCELERATED
ATTRACTION RECAP
Okay, let’s recap the rules of accelerated attraction. Rule 1 is to change
your language. You want to start saying, “I am.” Own whatever your
intention is as if you already have it. I am wealthy. I am in love. I am healthy.
I am successful. I am _____. Change your language so it’s more powerful,
more present, and more now. That’s the first rule.
The second rule is to feel it real. Assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled.
Assume you already have it. You already are it. You are already being it. Feel
it as if it happened yesterday or this morning. How would you feel? Step
into that feeling. Embody that feeling. You’re putting yourself into a kind
of a trance, but what an exhilarating thing to do. That’s the second rule.
The third rule is to get clear. Use Ho’oponopono. Hire a coach. Hire
a mentor. Do whatever you can to find your limiting beliefs and release
them. There are lots of techniques on getting clear. Ho’oponopono is one
of the most powerful and easy ways and doesn’t cost you anything. You can
do it right now. I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.
The fourth rule is to take inspired action. When you receive that
opportunity or that nudge, or you have that inkling to do something, trust
it. Trust yourself and act on it. Go out there and make it happen. You have
to do something. You are creating life from a co-creation dimension. The
great thing is, when you do take action, you only have to take a little bit.
The Universe then rushes in and meets you more than partway.
The fifth rule is to be open in what it is that you’re trying to attract
or achieve. Be open to something better. Remember my phrase from The
Attractor Factor and add it to all your intentions—“this or something

better.”
If you are stating, “I want to have $500,000 in unexpected income,” at
the end, add, “this or something better.”
Why limit yourself?
Summary:
Those are the five rules of accelerated attraction; the five rules I
apply all the time. If anybody takes a good, hard look at my career or
my bibliography or inventory of things I’ve created and manifested and
attracted, they would say, “Oh, this guy seems to know what he’s doing.”
Well, you now know what I’ve been doing, and you can go do it, too. As
I always like to remind people, you get what you believe and expect, so
Expect Miracles.
