I. System Requirement
This system will run for the ff.:

Must have a Visual Foxpro 6.0


128 megabytes of RAM
Microsoft Windows 98
3 ½ Floppy disk

II. Procedure in loading the Computer System

Loading in E:\

1. Insert USB.
2. Wait for the dialog box to display then click open folder to
view files.
3. Double Click Information system folder.
4. Then click forms folder.
5. Then click the splash screen.

Loading in A:\

1.Turn on your Computer.


2. From the desktop, double click the visual foxpro 6.0 or you
click the start button then select the programs then select and
click Vfox 6.0.
3. Click file Menu then Click Open or just click the open button,
then open the dialog box that will appear.
4. choose 3 1/2 floppy. In file type choose form and click the
filename “Information system”. Select the database and the
filename “Splash screen”.

LOCATING JOB PROSPECTS


Newspaper ads

A review of newspaper ads shows that many types of word processing


opportunities are available. These ads provide much job information that will help
you determine what type of position you desire.

School Placement

If you are currently attending a school or a college, majoring in the


business/hospitality field, you should work closely with your placement
personnel’s. Schools are often called up by businesses who are seeking trained
employee.

Placement Agencies

The growth of word processing has led to the rise of agencies that include
word processing operators as one of the skilled workers available. Applicants are
given tests such as computer know how, English, spelling, attitude, personality,
and word processing.

Personal Referrals

The saying “It’s who you know ” is sometimes applicable when job hunting.
Family members, relatives, personal friends, teachers, fellow students are some of
the job sources. These personal sources can be helpful when you are making
applications for jobs.

Specialized Sources

These sources include special newspapers, business/trade magazines,


professional organizations’ magazines or newsletters, government newsletters.
The general traits aside from specific skills which businesses are looking for
include:
1. General skills knowledge
2. Related past experiences
3. Initiative, resourcefulness, self motivation.
4. Good communication skills.
5. Appropriate corporate attire and good grooming habits.
6. Social and human relation skills.
7. Skill in understanding and following directions.
8. Willingness to grow in the company.
The Resume

A resume is a written summary of abilities, accomplishments and work


history. The resume should have the following qualities:

●It should be well-organized so that it can be read in six to eight seconds.


●It should emphasize strengths and accomplishments and show that the
applicant is qualified for the available job.
●It should be attractive to the eye. The best way to ensure this is to use a
computer.
●The resume should be printed on a laser or a comparable high quality
printer on a paper.
●The resume should have the following components: heading, job objective,
work experience, and education.

Heading

The heading should include the name, address, and home and/or work
telephone number.

Job Objective

If you have only a limited experience, omit the job objective because it may
be limiting.

Work Experience

This is the core of resume. Experience should be listed in reverse


chronological order or according to job function.

Education

If you have just graduated, you may put the education right after the job
objective. Eliminate high school if you have graduate degrees. The date
should be included if the degree was earned recently.
